A Confident Walker

I was right with you up until this statement "I'm not fond of the concept of our aging staff taking on added responsibilities."
Jasmine is younger than Marissa so the UCONN WBB staff would be actually getting younger and "probably" better able to relate to today's recruits.
What "added responsibilities"? UCONN WBB players have always been well schooled in all aspects of basketball=same responsibilities. Perhaps the responsibilities will be divided differently among the staff but I definitely don't see added responsibilities.

I was referring to senior staff: Geno and CD
If Shea is not 100% involved (for a while?) Jas covers her
and there is hardly "less work for mother."
Perhaps Shea can't travel as much...needs more time off
or perhaps there is no work related issues whatsoever.

Still feels like additional workload for Geno and CD.

I see what you tried to do there. Shea being a new mother does not count as an increase in responsibilities for the UCONN staff.
This is entirely manageable, there are no work related issues, stop making up things.

Off the top of my head: Texas A& M 2011, Maryland 2006, & Baylor 2005-I think.
I knew someone would challenge me on this. I’ll give you the Lady Turtles in ‘06, but A&M was lead by AA Danielle Adams and Baylor by AA Sophia Young.

Revised answer: It has happened three times 1985 ODU, 1987 Tn., & 2006 Md. if you go by the player being named WBCA AA in the year the team won the Championship.

No, no no no no! With all the talent on the team, why would you want one player to be the first and second option? What happens when she gets shut down or is in foul trouble? First option, maybe, but not first and second. Believe me, KLS may wind up being the third best player on this season's team and not because she does not play extremely well. AA well. However, there may be two who play even better. UConn may very well have four AA this season.

Yeah we had so many options last two years and when it counts knowone steps up. Chong lay up failure two years ago and last year we dribble the ball to oblivion. Lou needs to play the BS role and be our senior leader.
We will see

In Geno's Courant podcast from this morning he said, "We just hired Jamelle Elliot to do some work for us." Maybe she's going to help out with the post players. ?? If not CD can handle it.

Does UConn really have any post players?

You must be a cook in real life because you sure like to stir the pot.

kinda............. Pheesa gets some of her points from the post but is she really a post player? We don't know exactly where ONO will be stationed........... Camara perhaps?............hopefully they will have a traditional post in Ms Boston...............

Takes care of any potential issue, in my view.
Great minds think....(that's for Coco)

How do you think would she do as an additional recruiter?
I believe that colleges are limited to the number of coaches they can put on the road to recruit. For D1, the limit would be 4 (HC + 3 assistants)

well if Shea is not traveling for a bit I suppose she could do it...............it would be impressive to have someone with her standing out there............not that SR is chopped liver

Megan is really putting in the work. Working out with Napheesa and now Barbara Turner. I keep saying it, I can't wait for the season to start. I got a feeling 2019 will be the year for #12 :).

I hope you are right, but ND is absolutely loaded. I don't see them losing a game this year. Heck, I see them winning every game this year by double digits!

Try pretending you are an Irish fan. I'll wager you could find lots of dark clouds over the program, :D
