Not sure who ends up winning but I think UCONN, Baylor and Maryland look the sharpest right now. Stanford is legit as well. I am not convinced this SC team can do it with their offense...
I wouldn't call Howard a stats player either, but i don't see her improving her teammates in the same manner that Clark does.Yeah. It's absolutely pure BS. Clark is not I repeat not a stats player like say Howard is. This kid is a playa who cares about her team and winning. The stats just come because she's just so darn good.
I wonder if the National Freshmen of the Year Awards have all been voted on. Between Caitlin's performance in the Big Ten tournament and so far in this tournament, she's opening some voters eyes. I have always thought Caitlin and Paige will split awards and now I'm convinced she will. Paige has a huge social media following. However there's a large following that want Caitlin to win the FOY Awards.
Yeah I agree, I think Baylor and UConn have best chances..in that order sadly. Baylor had looked tough, UConn can do it though just got to play better defense and hit some outside shots. Not sure who ends up winning but I think UCONN, Baylor and Maryland look the sharpest right now. Stanford is legit as well. I am not convinced this SC team can do it with their offense...
I doubt it to be honest. Players rarely transfer after their junior year unless they have their degree in hand and grad transfer. And if Howard has her degree, she'd go pro rather than play at a new school for a year.I would not be surprised if Howard transfer to a contender next year.
I'm a fan of Dawn, Robin, and Kellie. Used to be a fan of Neighbors and Kristie Curry but not anymore. The SEC has too many mediocre/bad coaches. This is a fact unfortunately.
They also have has Massengill and Howard try to guard her as well with the same resultI just tuned in and I see Kentucky is covering Clark with someone half her size. Then on the offensive end they're not making her work at all. What is this coach thinking?
Agree with you totally, it must be the whole P5/SEC thing going on also.I stated this in the AP All American thread but it bears repeating in light of recent events.
Clark hands down should’ve been 1st team and it shouldn’t have been close. At worst I had her as the overall #3.
And in the opposite direction, Howard should have been at best on the lower end of 3rd team. But of course the name recognition and fawning media coverage go a long way in deciding these things.
This season.Kentucky left their game on the bus...or in the hotel.
Not an altogether unusual stat line for her. A few gems to go with quite a few stinkers.Howard has gotten to 20 points, but 5-18 shooting?!![]()
Ky with a real dud today. Made one of the worst defenses look good. Clark was terrific. Hope to see her against UConn’s vaunted D. Surprised to see that Howard scored 28. She must have got meaningless points late. She did not contribute early. Czinano looked like the better player today. This season.
I’m sorry, the Cats are just not a good team and have been overrated since preseason. One good player does not make a good team
Nika will have to guard her well.70-46 after three. Clark with a "quiet" period - 7 points for a total of 31.
