Either way, it still being celebrated by a subset of the WNBA fanbase. It doesn't matter if it's Clark or someone else, it's a mob mentality that contradicts the media talking heads saying fans don't want this in the game. If they can make it an exception because it's Clark, what's to stop them from explaining it away when the next generational talent goes pro?
It's a slipper slope to me and the WNBA needs to do something about the refereeing situation. I don't have an issue with physicality as most BYers know I prefer FIBA interpretations more than NCAAW. My bone of contention has been the lack of consistency because that's what leads to these problems. The focus of emphasis on "freedom of movement" this season, which should have addressed this, seems to be just talk sadly.
