You want a guy 6’11” to score off the dribble? Our guards couldn’t do that last year.He looks like a more athletic AK. Shot it the same from 3 like Alex, blocks shot similar to Alex and has trouble scoring off the dribble similar to Alex and good passer similar to Alex. Though he is a lot better running the court and has some back to basket skills that Alex doesn't.
Maybe I should log back inNo, but I know the staff doesn't think so either. And I know you're on Storrs Central and know this too so I don't get why you're still posting this doomsday nonsense every day
They should have had all that info weeks ago…He’s probably still gathering information from his agency on what his actual pro options are. NBA? G league? Overseas? I’d imagine his agency has been doing market research on his behalf so that the biggest decision of his life is a well-informed one. It’s not complicated
Why not? You don't need just guards scoring and penetrating. He is going to play on the perimieter a lot and will need to drive and score to keep teams honest. I think it was more jump shots that was his issue than scoring off layups when penetrating. So this is already a plus compared ot Alex. You want a guy 6’11” to score off the dribble? You’re right. He must be holding out to damage the program. They should have had all that info weeks ago…
I get the impression that if the staff identifies a player they feel could be the equivalent of Alex, and that player is contacted and is interested in coming here, they have an agreement with Alex to give them his decision.Maybe I should log back in
Edit- didn’t see anything about averting doomsday in the better get us now thread on transfers or in the premium content section. Should I be looking somewhere else?
I'm confused by the question because he's a senior with no eligibility left, and is also not in the transfer portal which closed yesterdayAny of you guys think Ja’vier Francis 6’9” power forward from Houston would fit here. I was impressed with his freakish athleticism watching him during the tourney. Says he’s a senior.
I did see him listed in the portal on the ON3 site just now.I'm confused by the question because he's a senior with no eligibility left, and is also not in the transfer portal which closed yesterday
Does he have UConn interest?Any of you guys think Ja’vier Francis 6’9” power forward from Houston would fit here. I was impressed with his freakish athleticism watching him during the tourney. Says he’s a senior.
Weird, don't see it reported anywhere else yet. In an event, he has no eligibility left so seems unlikelyI did see him listed in the portal on the ON3 site just now.
Did some digging. It appears some players are transferring in the portal due to a pending court case challenging eligibility laws. So, yeah that is probably going to go nowhere.Weird, don't see it reported anywhere else yet. In an event, he has no eligibility left so seems unlikely
Don’t know but it’s likely a moot point now.Does he have UConn interest?
Just watched his highlight tape. He’d be an interesting chess piece on offense and a huge upgrade on defense. Would definitely start if AK is gone
Correct.Did some digging. It appears some players are transferring in the portal due to a pending court case challenging eligibility laws. So, yeah that is probably going to go nowhere.
Newton was #43, Mahaney #45, Cam #114.After the last couple seasons I refuse to pay attention to these transfer ranking lists. Where were Newton and Spencer? I don't think either were in the top 100. Aidan Mahaney was very highly ranked last year.
Walter Clayton Jr. was in the 40s or 60s after he left Iona.Newton was #43, Mahaney #45, Cam #114.
I do remember the athletic being relatively high on Newton and saying his ceiling was an nba player, but he wasn’t even on the radar of many rankingsNewton was that high? Which list?

Yeah, that's because they were defended by guards, not another power forward. You want a guy 6’11” to score off the dribble? Our guards couldn’t do that last year.
Your list is older so I'll go with my list.
