Maybe this was already mentioned here but 247 has NJ TE Matt Hoffman dropping his VT commitment for UConn. Hoffman has a country strong fame with good speed and reach. Very interesting recruit that could develop nicely.

Nigel Fitzgerald will take an official visit to UConn tomorrow. He is a 6’5” grad transfer WR from Old Dominion with 3 years of eligibility left. He only had one reception in 2021, but in 2019 played in all 12 games, starting three at wide receiver and caught 14 passes for 219 yards. He was a 2 star WR coming out of high school.

A grad transfer with 3 years of eligibility. Wild.

I really think he's going to be great for us here. He moves so fast laterally
Agree….Rosa is a dynamic athlete, can line up at RB, WR or in the slot. He can create mismatches in coverage for a LB or SS. Would love to see him and Brewton deep on kickoff returns.

To me he’s a combination of Nick Williams, Arkeel Newsome and Robbie Frye…speed, wiggle and power.

I think he ends up being a corner or safety .

I'll be curious if we see a lower number of commitments in the early period across all of CFB due to the massive upheaval of coaches.

Kids are running around for late visits but they can still wait and sign in February.

Kids are racing around this weekend with just days left. Hope he choses us over Monmouth.

Might be tough to sell him to come here instead of playing with a top 5 finisher for the jerry rice award in QB Tony Muskett.

I think he sees the army we are building here vs that musket being shot along the jersey shore

Someone got him through a tough Private Iona Prep. Time to care about academics
