2021 Recruiting Thread

Gabe Nealy is a 6-4 175lb DB from Gulliver Prep in Miami Florida. other offers from Alabama A&M, AppState, Cincy, Coastal Carolina, ECU, FIU, FAU, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, Miami (FL), Minnesota, Navy, Nebraska, Pitt, Rutgers, Temple, Tennessee State, UCF, USF and UTSA.

HIghlights

Cinci leads from my understanding. Former Michigan St commit, Nebraska also pursuing

UConn May never be a top 25 squad BUT if this class stays as is and current players have a 80% retention rate, no reason not to expect a solid 8–4 team in 3 years or so with big opponents being scheduled. Just keep the momentum going

I'm still trying to wrap my head around 3 Florida and 4 Texas early commits. Not November or some late adds in January.

I may be spoiled and feel disappointed if I don't see 1 or 2 a week for the rest of the summer.

Time for Dom Amore to follow up on his article in the Courant last month regarding ‘recruiting dividends’. The dividends are being paid in full! (And give the recruits a shoutout too!)

Very satisfying and gratifying to Chief that Randy has fully embraced the #24/7Grind approach and suggested messaging. It really does make a difference in recruiting.

Shoutout Ari Wasserman:

“Connecticut earned a commitment from three-star tight end Christopher Johnson of Jacksonville (Fla.) Jean Ribault. Rated the No. 72 tight end in the 2021 class, Johnson is the third-highest-rated player in the Huskies class, which currently ranks No. 93 overall nationally. UConn has added all nine of its commitments since the beginning of May.”

4 Crystal Ball Selections for Oklahoma State on 247, but there are two other WR's (twins) trending for OSU committing at 1pm.
Cam Smith looks like he could very well end up on D, so, I think it probably doesn't matter. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.

It's great RE listened to you because many Head Coaches believe they have all the answers.
It’s all about the end result not who gets the short term credit - the head coach always owns the long term credit or blame.

You realize "The Grind" has been a commonly used term in life and sports forever, right? And before that it was a popular dance show on MTV?

Please tell me you haven't tried to file a trademark.

Free 247 story on Jason Henderson - FB/LB prospect from PA. I think this is a kid we are working to get on campus. Wants to commit before his senior season.

Villanova: I was excited when I was offered and what stands out to me is the campus itself and the area around it.

Syracuse: I felt good about this offer because it was a stronger offer for me and I think the relationships I have built with some of the coaches stands out the best to me.

Temple: I was really very happy with their offer and what sticks out to me is their competition and school size.

UConn: I was happy with the offer because they are close and a good academic school and what sticks out is the money they put in their facilities.

James Madison: I was very pleased with this offer and what sticks out is how successful they are year in and year out.

Leader Johnson: Any virtual visits planned?
Jason Henderson: I have done a couple and plan to do more but I’m not sure exactly when.
