if that's a complete tear that pretty much wipes him out for next year, that's crazy.

Jeeeeeez. It's really anyone's year. Literally any team left could win it.
if by anyone you mean the jazz or nets.

kawhi out for playoffs and cp3 tested postivie for covid so jazz are finals locks. danny green is a big loss for the sixers. even if they can get by the hawks they arent beating the nets who will get kyrie back (xrays negative).

Technically a sprain is a tear... which is why I think the person you quoted said if its a complete tear.

if it was a complete tear people would be calling it a torn acl and not a sprained acl

I didn't think Chris Paul's shot selection would cost the Suns a trip to the Finals.
The claim by Matt Barnes is that he was vaccinated. Who knows

They're calling it a sprain for now, they reportedly have to do more imaging once the swelling subsides.

Suns:
Why they can win it - CP3 will be back. Team is peaking in the playoffs.
Why they won't win it - They'll dig themselves into a hole in CP3's absence and won't be able to make it when he comes back. Jazz have home court.

Jazz
Why they can win it - Home court in WCF. Kawhi out now. Will have some of series without CP3 most likely. League best record, good scoring depth. and Gobert on D.
Why they won't win it - Donovan Mitchell banged up. Were looking in trouble against Clips before Kawhi injury.

Clippers
Why they can win it - Paul George might be the best player left in WC when he shows up.
Why they won't win it - Kawhi injury. Have to steal at least 1 on road against Jazz. Overall shot creation shortage without Kawhi. PG doesn't usually show up.

Nets
Why they can win it - Kevin Durant is the best player in the league. Best roster if healthy.
Why they won't win it - Harden looks to be 20% healthy and Kyrie is out next game and future timeline or playing capacity unknown. Still have to close out Bucks and win without home court against Sixers. Unproven head coach.

Sixers
Why they can win it - Best 2 way team. Home court advantage in ECF. Embiid can be absolutely dominant in paint against certain matchups. Simmons + Thybulle on D can give a team of 2 stars a real problem. Doc Rivers is only coach remaining with a ring (non LeBron stooge category).
Why they won't win it - Embiid is not 100%. Danny Green out hurts their shooting/spacing. Have to close out Hawks still, may continue history of playoff choking.

Bucks
Why they can win it - Healthiest stars remaining (only Divincenzo out). Giannis will get 30 and 10 every game. Jrue can shut down opposing guards.
Why they won't win it - Shooting hasn't translated to playoffs. Coach Bud has been actively bad. Giannis can't make a FT. Facing elimination in current series heading out on road.

Hawks
Why they can win it - If CP3 is out, they have the best offensive point guard remaining in Trae Young.
Why they won't win it - Wing corps is diminished (Hunter and Reddish out). Have to win on road. Least talented and experienced roster remaining. Head coach has substantial losing playoff record..

Outscored 40-15 before that meaningless Curry jumper at the buzzer, on their home floor, after blowing an 18 point lead in game 4.

Post game TNT analysis was spot on. Barkley pointed out that Giannis dropped the ball b/c he was rushing to avoid getting fouled. This was after Kenny arguing the difference in the game was Durant could close at the line & by making shots whereas the Bucks needed the ball in someone other than Giannis' hands. More than anything else that's the Bucks fatal flaw, in close games their best player can't reliably create crunch time buckets and now is unreliable at the stripe.

I think the series goes 7, but if either of the next two games are one possession in the final minute its an uphill battle for the Bucks.

didn’t they get Holiday for end of game situations? Where has he been?? Giannis taking baseline fadeaways while being guarded by a guy with one leg who can’t run was just beyond ridiculous. Middleton isn’t exactly a great one on one guy either. They brought Holiday in to be that guy and he hasn’t exactly been moving the needle for them this postseason. Overall and especially at the end of games.

Goes without saying but they need a new coach. Bud makes zero adjustments. Their style/ strategy never changes and is completely independent of who their opponent is. It’s inexcusable at this point.

Simmons took 4 shots lol. Sixers and Bucks have similar issues. Sixers have Embiid who is unstoppable but it’s tough when you’re go to guy isn’t a ball handler. Bucks apparently still don’t have one since Holiday hasn’t been that. So neither team has a ball handler to count on to go to and the end of games and that’s a huge issue (obviously).

Simmons somehow still has no scoring ability at all. He literally can’t/ won’t take a jump shot. He’s been an elite player through high school, college and now 4 years in the nba and you can’t score at all? 6’10. Handles like a guard. Really quick and athletic. And you have no offensive game at all? No post game either? It’s ridiculous at this point.

I have no idea about salaries, capspace, picks etc but 76ers should make a godfather offer with Simmons for Lillard if it’s at all doable. Dame and embiid would be ridiculous and Dame is 31 (crazy) and Portland is going nowhere. Simmons would give them a young foundational (ish) piece who fits well with Their roster and would improve their defense a ton which has been terrible for years. Sixers could still win the series (and title) obviously but seems like the Simmons and embiid combo is destined to disappoint.

Love to see that game from PG. Dude gets lots of undue hate imo. He's for sure clowned himself and had some duds in the playoffs, but think hes much better than most fans give him credit for.

Reggie Jackson was the best player on the court for the 4Q. From either team.

Sometimes confidence IS all you need.

Carlisle is out, I say its time. Pacers and Celtics are a possibility as he has some familiarity there.

Probably got sick of listening to Doncic. And that won't get any better so he got out while the getting is good.
