The double team on Paige slowed her down but Hopkins made them pay for it in the second half. I can't recall anyone scoring points as fast as they did in such a short time span.

They lose Chakulis I believe. They should be a terror next year.

Bueckers was doubled and tripled. The Stillwater coach said in an interview that they wanted Bueckers' team mates to have to beat them and it worked the 1st half as Bueckers drew defenders and passed to wide open players who all missed. That's why they trailed at the half. Hopkins shot 65% in the 2nd half.

I don't recall seeing Bueckers hounded all that much. I just thought she looked a bit timid or deferential. The opposing coach said at the half that he thought she was ill. Seems he was right.

Your are right, I was very impressed with Maya Nnaji also. She is going
to be really something by the time she graduates. She reminded me of
Kiah Stokes.

I’m going to assume Van Lith and Daniels aren’t making home visits public. Both’s Louisville in-home visits were reported theough ProspectsNation, but not a peep from either of them. Nothing from Bueckers yet, but she may have been waiting until her season was over.

As mentioned in a separate thread, Aubrey Griffin won her class state title with Ossining on Sunday.

31 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals


Ossining now moves on to the Federation state tournament starting next weekend.
