New Hope did well to beat a physical, athletic McNamara team.

St. John’s just beat Georgetown Visitation by 63-38. They should have played Georgetown University.

I’m not sure if Azzi matched Visiration or not. She had more than 30, probably 35-38. She looked for her shot today and dazzled with pull-up jumpers from the lane and baseline. She also hit about 4 treys. Oddly, she missed a FT. Someone needs to check the rim.

The MVP was _________. If you are paying attention, you can fill in the blank. She plays like a college sophomore, not a high school sophomore.

I'm continually amazed at how many COLLEGE kids can't or won't just get to the open spot and take that pull up. She's ridiculous.

I saw her once last year and five times this year, including four times in the past nine days. I love watching her shoot and play in general.

If Azzi stays healthy and motivated, I’m thinking the over/under on her college career points is north of 2,500. She could challenge Maya’s 3,036 mark. I sure hope she wants to play for Geno and be part of the Husky Family.

Very impressive...sweet jumper...nice handle...she will be a game changer where ever she goes. I don't usually put a kid on my wish list...as I usually...figure our coaching staff will get who they get...but, this kid is definitely someone who I would love to see in Husky Blue.

Paige Bueckers scored 32 points in Hopkins' 81-51 sectional win Saturday.

Highlights:

Well, I've liked the "Pistol Paige" moniker, but one might have to drop a "Curly" Neal reference, too.
Go to the 1:30 mark, when she receives an outlet pass, turns upcourt, slips to her knees, but still keeps her concentration and dribble, then gets off a pass. Cut to "Sweet Georgia Brown" and take it all in....
