One thing I have never understood - how can Puerto Rico have a team when they are US citizens? I thought to play international sports you needed to be a citizen of the country you play for but to my knowledge Puerto Rico has no citizenship other than US.
For Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam and other similar situations, you simply need to prove that you were born there or have a parent or grandparent who was.
