Are we fishermen, happy with enough, or are we fishermen's wives, never satisfied, always thinking that we deserve all of everything?

Maybe not wrong but maybe a bit greedy! And pretty unlikely!
But why not hope!

The aforementioned Kateri Poole is rated 15th by Blue Star, 23rd by Hoopgurlz, and 34th by Prospects Nation in the 2020 class.

She's a 5-9 guard--maybe point, maybe combo--out of New York.

Poole is very talented, but very raw right now. She has good size and strength, but lacks ideal foot speed at the pg position. She has a very nice and fluid jump shot, but her game primarily consists of 1 on 1 streetball moves at this point. She really needs to be coached up, but there is definitely a lot of talent there to work with.

At a quick glance its another guard in the 2020 class. Incidentally that class contains Van Lith, Bueckers, & Clark. Interesting.

New as a UConn target, yes. She's been an AAU star for much of the summer. Thanks for the tip.

I remember posting many months back about why UConn wasn't interested in Poole, being that she's talented and playing in UConn territory............at this point I'm hoping this is simply UConn doing their due diligence and not a sign of concern about the higher ranked guards in the class...........

I find it interesting that I can't remember hearing of UConn having interest in combo guard Kateri Poole the number 12 rated player in the 2020 class who's a NY kid......nice to have a fall back if things don't work out with PB or Van Lith......

Before we go to much further with (UCONN interested in Poole) the game was Poole's team New Heights playing against Cy-Fair EYBL. Cy-Fair is an EYBL team that is always loaded with talent last year they had CW, Charli Collier, Sedona Prince and Madison Williams ALL McDonalds game players. I searched the web for this years Cy fair roster and couldn't find it but I know that at least Sasha Goforth #8 in 2020 class is on Cy-fair. The coaches are kind of captive to the schedules at USJN. It could simply have been the UCONN coaches catching the best game (talent) at that time in the Gym instead of looking at a specific player.

Thanks for posting this. Exactly what I thought, with all those Cy-Fair stars hard to believe UCONN was there to watch Poole. Of the kids mentioned in the write up here are the rankings I could find. This is pretty typical of Cy-Fair teams they come loaded.
Aailyah Moore 2021
Sasha Goforth 2020 #8
Jordyn Oliver 2019 #6 Baylor
Jaden Owens 2019 #16 UCLA
Jordyn Merritt 2020 #6
Aaliyah Morgan 2020
Raine Burton 2020
Jewel Spear 2020

you're probably right but it didn't hurt that they got to see KP against good competition just in case...........BTW Jordyn Oliver is really, really good.............I assume she's most likely staying in Texas though.........

Oliver has already committed to Baylor. Jaden Owens to UCLA. I think Goforth has a list. I will see if i can find.
