Can we have both?
I'm looking for a few this weekend... this may be just the first.
Can we have both?
Let's hope. This staff seems to be getting more traction with guys that have big-time interest than any other period in this program's history.I'm looking for a few this weekend... this may be just the first.

Two articles out on Re-Al Mitchell's visit to Rutgers. Nothing earth shattering or foretelling.
247 title to Google: "California QB @realmitchell11 talks #Rutgers visit & finalists"
>>The dual-threat quarterback is set to make his college decision on May 1st and has a final five of Rutgers, Iowa State, Illinois, Connecticut and UCF. “All schools are pretty even right now,’’ said Mitchell. “When I get back home I’m going to sit down with my parents and begin discussing the pros and cons of each school. “Each one of these schools is in my final group because they WANT me. They are looking for me to be a dynamic player that can change the culture around their program.”<<
Scout title to Google: "Re-al Mitchell hit Rutgers Friday in his weekend visit circuit to the East. How close is a decision?"
Highlights of a longer read:
>>Mitchell visited Rutgers Friday. He followed it with a Saturday road trip to Connecticut.
“My parents left it up to me to make that decision (on what schools to visit),” Mitchell said. “I made it purely off of who I felt wanted me the most. Those were two schools in a close proximity that I could visit, and I felt they both had a lot of interest in me. I could visit both with them being about three hours away from each other.”<<
>>Based on the proximity of Mitchell's finalists, leaving home is not an issue. Mitchell is in search of a spread offense that meets his academic interests – a kinesiology major and minor in marketing.
Mitchell's goals in an early commitment include recruiting leadership and the chance to focus on his senior season.“I definitely like leading in everything,” Mitchell said. “I like to lead in a class. I want to be a leader in recruiting.”<<
This kid's definitely our #1 priority recruiting wise at QB... If anybody has listened to his interview with Matt (UConn Country on Twitter) he gives you the feeling that he could take us to yet another level... We already run the same offense he runs in HS... AND one thing that stood out that he said was that he wants the chance to be a part of a re-build .... not in those words exactly but that's what he eluded to... This kid, to me, along with a couple of other QBs that will be on the roster, can provide us with key to finally opening the door to a P5 conference...Todderick Hunt @ nj.com on RM's Rutgers visit: Rutgers square in the mix for highly-touted California QB Re-al Mitchell
Extended interview with Re-al Mitchell discussing his visit at UConn. Starts at the 8:43 mark:

His ability at the position, from what I've seen of our QBs since DanO, so far, are unmatched... Not even close... He'd potentially reach Khalid El-Amin status on this campus.. Not sure about a Nat'l Championship at the FBS level, but as far as providing a HUGE boost to National prominence...Looks like he can help do just that for our programHis dad's comfort level w/ Edsall will be key based on the comments he made in Matt's interview and in the Todd Hunt's interview.
