If this kids comes here, then without a doubt we have the deepest set of QBs ever assembled for UConn which is stunning. And, the QB position could be the strongest unit with the most depth by 2019. Unbelievable.

Side note - with Bloom and Myers as seniors, that TE position is ripe for Rose to be a receiving terror and Fitton to be blocking guy in 2018.

Yeah, it's the potential amount of competition at the position that gets me most excited.

also #25 Nikko Hall looks to be committing soon:

"Bookie" Radley-Hiles feels connection with Husker fans, hasn't forgotten Milt's words Strangers call Brendan Radley-Hiles by his nickname as though they've known him for years. journalstar.com

Even though we're out of it its a pretty good read. Seems like he has a great head on his shoulders

From a 247 site article today:
>>Mitchell, who is regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in California, told CycloneAlert he will visit Rutgers on Friday and UConn on Saturday in an effort to advance toward a decision. Mitchell had previously said he would take dual trips during his spring break to the latter two schools or South Carolina and North Carolina.<<

>>Mitchell said Nebraska is showing increased interest and is trying to visit him as soon as possible before May 1. The Cyclones, meanwhile will visit Mitchell on April 27<<

He has said previously he will commit on 5/1.

He wants to commit by May 1 and he's coming here to look in late April? That has to make us a realistic possibility I would think.

.-.
Does he visit ISU after us? I think that's the main competition. I like that we have a strong program in his choice of major.

He visted Iowa State on 3/25... from the article quotes I posted above from a Cyclone 247 site - it alludes to that Iowa State scheduling a visit w/ Mitchell on April 27 so it appears they may be trying for one last whack at him.

Wholley posted something similar. Robert Snead is on his visit this weekend and that would be a pretty impressive get.

?? Maybe/probably this ??

Let's hope. This staff seems to be getting more traction with guys that have big-time interest than any other period in this program's history.

Kinda makes your jock itch wondering what they'd do if we were in a p5 situation.

You know you've made it to the big time when you are getting "The U" cast offs. Finally playing big boy football. Has Randy mellowed in his old age or what?

Manuel Allen committed to Nebraska today

Markell Dobbs (RB/Ansonia) received a scholarship offer from CCSU. I believe that's his first offer.

Facilities along with a head coach that has an actual plan

Two articles out on Re-Al Mitchell's visit to Rutgers. Nothing earth shattering or foretelling.

247 title to Google: "California QB @realmitchell11 talks #Rutgers visit & finalists"
>>The dual-threat quarterback is set to make his college decision on May 1st and has a final five of Rutgers, Iowa State, Illinois, Connecticut and UCF. “All schools are pretty even right now,’’ said Mitchell. “When I get back home I’m going to sit down with my parents and begin discussing the pros and cons of each school. “Each one of these schools is in my final group because they WANT me. They are looking for me to be a dynamic player that can change the culture around their program.”<<

Scout title to Google: "Re-al Mitchell hit Rutgers Friday in his weekend visit circuit to the East. How close is a decision?"

Highlights of a longer read:
>>Mitchell visited Rutgers Friday. He followed it with a Saturday road trip to Connecticut.

“My parents left it up to me to make that decision (on what schools to visit),” Mitchell said. “I made it purely off of who I felt wanted me the most. Those were two schools in a close proximity that I could visit, and I felt they both had a lot of interest in me. I could visit both with them being about three hours away from each other.”<<

>>Based on the proximity of Mitchell's finalists, leaving home is not an issue. Mitchell is in search of a spread offense that meets his academic interests – a kinesiology major and minor in marketing.

Mitchell's goals in an early commitment include recruiting leadership and the chance to focus on his senior season.“I definitely like leading in everything,” Mitchell said. “I like to lead in a class. I want to be a leader in recruiting.”<<
