Recruiting tip of the day, offer every kid Navy offers. Every friggen one!

They are just slapping around Virgina (one of those schools that routinely takes our lesser regarded private school football players).

You have to remember that the academies don't have a roster limit. Most of their players never see the field. I know people that were offered by Navy as their only FBS offer and ended up going D3

Gotta also remember one thing. Edsall coached up kids to maximize their talent on the field at Storrs his first go round.... We slapped teams around we had no business slapping around back then... With him back I expect to happen again.. Hopefully sooner than later..

That whole thing was a farce. One of the girls was assaulted by a local during study abroad and she blamed UConn for it.

Out best shot in a long while in changing the narrative is this upcoming 2019 cycle. Edsall 2.0 has a much better relationship with both public and private local schools this time. Now there is at least dialogue.

Well we got one Prep kid. That’s a start. Not highly recruited though. If that turns out well then perhaps more follow.

I think he tackles high - too much arm- but that said potential is there.

One of the most underrated aspect of Edsall 1.0, were the position coaches were real good. Orlando and Johnson with Lbs, Richardson with RBs and Lakatos with DBs. Those position groups excelled and Foley worked wonders with the OL. I like Grimes, we will have to see on Cox and Wholey.

yea but even with those high tackles its not like he is just dragging them down from up high he is literately planting those kids out there, drives his feet through the tackle. I don't see it being an issue

At the next level with stronger kids, arm tackles and high tackles will be far less effective. I think he will need to lower his pad level. That said, at least he gets to the ball with his speed.
