Back to back illegal substitution penalties followed by PI... what a crappy way to lose a State Championship by Colquitt County.

North Gwinnett had 18.5 seconds left with the ball on their own 44 and Colquitt County committed four penalties, for 35 yards, including two illegal substitution penalties in a row. That put the ball on the Colquitt 21 with no time left after the last penalty which was for pass interference as time ran out. The kicker, who missed an extra point earlier, made the 38 yard field goal to win it.

Krajewski lead a nice 80 yard drive in the last five minutes to get the lead at 17-16 with his 13 yard TD pass with 49.5 seconds left. He was on the money with his throws for the most part but was pressured a lot and sacked several times. McDonald, the Gwinnett linebacker who's committed to Rutgers was a man out there and caused most of the problems for Krajewski. McDonald is committed to Rutgers with only one other sort of major offer.....Colorado State. Somebody at Rutgers made a good call on him.

With all the pressure on him, Krajewski got a sample of what life has been like for UConn QB's, but he did a good job of putting the ball where the receivers wanted and needed them. He seemed more accurate than the UConn QB's the past few years, but it's still only high school. Didn't seem rattled or rushed on the drive to take the lead, so maybe he'll be the next Dan O.

It appears Parker Devine's senior season has hurt his recruiting process. UConn, Indiana, Purdue, Cincy, Miss State, Pitt, Rutgers and WV all courted his commitment last spring and now best I can see he is deciding between Tulane and Army. Back in Sept/October he stated Indiana and Miss State were is leaders, but neither school seems to be still recruiting him anymore...nor is any P6 program other than Navy and Tulane.

"I need to talk to the coach, but I might be able to go to Tulane this weekend; if not, I’m going in January.
"Also, maybe Middle Tennessee State, Army, Georgia Southern and WKU."

3-star D-Lineman Parker Devine to Make Full Use of Official Visit Process

Interesting that we appear to have moved on as well.

Is that Travis Jones pictured with Webb and Paul? If so, he doesn't look 340lbs.

Kaymar Mimes (DL) and Daevon Robinson (WR/TE) took OV at Rutgers this weekend. FWIW, Rutgers has as many as 5 WR already in this class depending on how their athletes break. Meanwhile Kaymar seems like a heavy Rutgers lean. Mimes and Robinson are two of the three highest rated uncommitted recruits left in NJ.

And Steve Shaw (DE) down in Texas is a bit of a mystery, but worth noting he is playing in the state championship game this week for powerhouse Manvel.

The known DL prospects we have either offered or kicked the tires on that remain uncommitted: Its likely we are taking just two more.
  • Metz <--well known situation
  • Shaw <--mystery man playing in a TX state final game this week
  • Kromah <--did he visit? had 27 sacks in senior year. seems like exactly the guy to replace Mimes.
  • Connors <--met with Lashlee, nothing more has come from it.
  • Sanders <--does he have a leader?

And some others maybe we should be considering:
