I never view guys that are tweeners at DE/TE/OT as a defensive guy... History has shown we haven't either .. They've all gone to OL or TE...The know DL prospects we have either offered or kicked the tires on that remain uncommitted: Its likely we are taking just two more.
- Metz <--well known situation
- Shaw <--mystery man playing in a TX state final game this week
- Kromah <--did he visit? had 27 sacks in senior year. seems like exactly the guy to replace Mimes.
- Connors <--met with Lashlee, nothing more has come from it.
- Sanders <--does he have a leader?
And some others maybe we should be considering:
- David Nwaogwugwu <--Nice frame - but tackles high. seems to be waiting for Temple to offer David Nwaogwugwu, Dewitt Clinton, Strong-Side Defensive End
- Casey Rogers <--went into december with no offers, now has a temple offer, rutty offer, cal offer and is waiting on ohio state to offer in january. he did visit uconn this summer. dont think there ever was a real chance here however. Casey Rogers (@caseyrog2852) | Twitter
- Parker Devine - held a UConn offer last spring along with many many others. At one time was assured to be p5 bound, now looking at Army, Navy and Tulane as his best options. Parker Devine, Bartram Trail, Strong-Side Defensive End
- Emmett McNamara - <--UVA decommit. OT or DE? Emmett McNamara, Red Bank Catholic, Strong-Side Defensive End
- Michael Taylor - <--Villanova commit....did visit UConn last year. Michael Taylor, Holy Cross, Weak-Side Defensive End
here's hoping a combo of any of the true DEs commit... I figure we need 2 (DE is one of our thinnest positions, along with RB)...
