Its always a bummer when we get an official or unofficial visit from a prospect and we come up the bridesmaid.

I still hope we make Travis Jones a DT (because he should be able to routinely take on two guys) and if so, we could use two more DL's this class (in addition to Pace) and I'd like to save a space for a 5th year senior or JUCO for a total haul of 5 new dline guys. Some of these new guys have a legit shot to play next year be the Ryan Van Demark of the trenches.

It appears the initial tweet by Bianchi has been deleted and there is no reference to UConn in his Twitter profile.

Who knows... maybe plans to try to walk-on and jumped the gun. Would seem to know his system/process works based on family so to fabricate whole things seems strange.

In the mean time... nothing sangwich.

Nice to see us solidifying our O in this class, but we also need some front 7 help on D.... preferrably edge rush help and a DL with some size...

looks like WVU trying stash him for a season at ASA... Hopefully we can blow him away this weekend and get him to enroll for Spring classes up in Storrs...

He was on our radar in the 2017 class I believe... he's at ASA now... eligible for Spring (4 to play 3 if I'm not mistaken)...

Here's a rivals profile link for him last year out of HS (with only peach fuz)... we were definitely on his radar... no we didn't offer but I remember us being mentioned with him at some point: Rivals.com

Okay... you said "recruiting (him) pretty hard". I took that to mean he had an offer - which he didn't. I can't find anything on here regarding him.

In any respect - he may be back on the radar.

BTW - That profile was for the Class of 2016 which would have been under previous staff - no? Class of 2018 profile here.

Yup, my mistake bro.. I just remembered we were recruiting him and kinda ran with it.. Nevertheless, he's a few years older, a few whiskers longer, and probably ready to unseat somebody if they aren't ready come next Fall... I'm all in if he and we are...

Corey Thomas looks like a pretty good fit for the lashlee offense. Hands look soft, decent route runner, 4.65 speed on a 6'5'' frame. He has no trouble catching the flag route. Also,looks like he could be a fair blocker. If he had the potential to be a plus level blocker he'd probably already be on a P5 squad.

Landing Ofori Nyadu, either Josh Jefferson or Landon Bebee, Krajewski and Corey Thomas would round out a solid job for Lashlee leaving IMHO just the RB slot to fill for this cycle. I'd look at PWOs for another TE. We need the rest of the scholarships for D.
