Ansonia tailback Arkeel Newsome has verbally committed to play at UConn, says Chargers coach Tom Brockett. More in a bit. #cthsfb

Newsome has run for over 6,800 yards (11.2 ypc) and 108 touchdowns in his three-year career. He also holds state career TD record #cthsfb
He is also the Walter Camp High School Player of the Year for the past two years. Last year he beat Tim Boyle and Matt Walsh.
hey, can someone tell the Ansonia coach that the kid is limited to 10 carries a game this year.
One of Boland, Britton and Fuchs might come in this fall?? if Chasz Wright can't solve his transcript issues.
FUCHS WILL BE ON CAMPUS JAN-2014--Could be wrong but Fuchs seems pretty committed to a PG year to get bigger, faster, more experienced. Wonder if Britton or a prefered walk-on get lucky?
According to Rivals, UConn offered Keith Benjamin, DL, 6-3, 253#, out of Windsor, CT
He camped at UConn. Courant all-team, also good wrestler.
it would be great if we could get an o line man or two to commit next. dt or de would be great as well.....then a db.
Dez just tweeted we picked up a commitment from Trey Rutherford, OT, 6-5 270. Anyone got any info??

Keep posting. What else would you like to see?
6'7", hoops player?
Seahawks signed Darren Fells to a contract in spite of Fells never having played football.
Strength, quick feet, and some hops.
Too early to forecast the unstoppable play of a 6'5" Boyle or Lagow to a 6'7" Fells crossing over the middle?
I agree with the idea of bulking him up, but I think in the direction of D-line. Maybe it's because this Giants fan still hasn't forgiven them for years ago trading away the overall 1st round draft pick to the damned Cowboys for Craig Morton. That pick turned into Ed "Too Tall" Jones.Anytime I see a 6'7 - 6'8 athletic kid coming in, I think bulk 'em up and teach them how to play on the O-line.
