Congrats to Javon! What all-star game was he invited to? Is it a north-south, east vs. west, or county vs. county?
 
Of note, Cam Stapleton ranked as a three star over on rivals. Also, Dhameer Bradley is ranked as a 5.7, three star recruit, making him our highest rated recruit according to them. I've been real impressed with everything I've seen and read about Bradley, and thought he could possibly be ranked as a four star player. His game highlights are impressive and he has absolutely tore up the camp circuit.
 
so now 9 of our 15 commits according to rivals are 3* guys and not to mention hadley got 2* and should easily be a 3* bump up soon. crazy cool! they will rate walsh soon also. hes already got 3* from another site so who knows. good stuff...op updated! for the moment we sit inside the top 60 team rankings without walsh getting a ranking.

Nine 3 stars from Rivals is good as they are only agency that really knows the Northeast as they cover and have or attend most events in area. Scout to a lesser extent has some visibility but would discount ESPN and 24/7 as they only cover major national recruits from area that are first recognized by rivals and scout and they are not familiar with the territory. Basically their formula is a kid from Northeast who committs to UConn/Cuse/BC will probbaly get a 2 but kid who is of equal ability down South who committs to Southern school will get a minimun of 3,

I don't think this is accurate any more. But they certainly do look at offers and kids with multiple offers or lots of press are more likely to get 3*.

He's right about 247. They are already a very good service, but they have no presence in the northeast. Rutgers, Syracuse, BC, and UConn are all without sites on there.

I talked to the head of the company a few months ago and he said the goal is to set up sites for teams in the northeast by the holidays, so we'll see.

he got invited to the nike florida all star game. hes reppin dade county.

Lagow watched the game in Tx. Believe his season starts 2 night. I know he's 2013 but convo fits here.

Richard Lagow was 7 for 13 184 yards 0 Tds and a Pick. Also had 8 carries for 10 yards and a TD in a 14-7 win over Lewisville.

Also D. Bradley has 13 catches for 156 yards and a Td in 2 games.
 
Quinn Thompson was 3 for 4 today for 38 yards passing and 3 carries for 2 yards. couldnt find receiving stats for him.

Funny he said he has only spoken with the coaches a few times. Could just be the way he turns a phrase, but most talk about constant contact with coaches.
 
Think you might be reading into this a little too much. Up until September 1 coaches were not able to make the calls and since most kids communicate via face book and text while there is not a lot of phone calls, there is probably a lot of communication. From reading articles UConn was Hopkins choice early on in recruiting process even though he had lot of early and heavy interest from number of BSC schools. He committed and shut down recruiting as soon as he got UConn offer so he is very solid commit and there is probably not a big need for both sides to be constantly reassuring each other of his commitment as sometimes coaches have to do with kids who commit while really not shutting the door for other schools.

Plus looks like he is captain on his high school team and that appears to be his main focus during football season. Bottom line looks like a good pick up for UConn who appears to be a very solid verbal commitment and pretty positive he will sign his UConn letter of intent on signing day.
 
Kyle Schafenacker is playing on ESPN2 right now for St. Thomas Aquinas against Don Bosco. He's facing the #13 DE according to ESPN and isn't doing all that well so far.
