Not worried, we have gotten out hit twice in the seven game stretch over the last two weeks. Amazing how anxious this fan base gets after one bad day, and one inning of hitting today.

He wrote the last two weeks, not just this weekend. To me, it is a potential concern.

Again... Reread what I wrote. We have only been out hit twice in the seven games in the last two weeks. People quickly forget how good we hit in the mid week.

And just like that we are leading. Take a step back from the cliff everyone.

UConn gets on the board in the bottom of the 2nd. Winkel single drives in Stefanski to make it 1-0. 2 runners on with 1 out.

It hasn’t been 1 day. They averaged 3 runs a game against a less the stellar Memphis team, didn’t show up until the last third of the Northeastern game, and didn’t hit great on Friday. It’s been a 2 week thing

Luckily baseball is a 9 inning game and you have a selective memory of a 20 hit game in the middle of the stretch.

Scared Heart sucks. You should set the bar higher than a glorified HS-level team. Especially when this team is in the host conversation.

Keep in mind Memphis had guys going Saturday and Sunday that were legit arms. Houston rolled with two legit arms in the double on Friday. One hit away from going 2-2 in those four games.

20 hits against any D1 team is still an accomplishment. It's laughable how little respect you give opponents on our schedule , between Memphis and Sacred Heart they are still D1 teams with some talented players. I am not worried about the hosting conversation on a day to day basis like others are. Play each game that is in front of you, lower your metoric expectations and we will all be fine.

And both will be watching baseball from their couches in 2 weeks

Unlike the rest of the teams on UConn's schedule, Sacred Heart is indeed terrible. UConn took out all their starters around the 6th or 7th inning. UConn could have scored 20 against them if they wanted to. That game was a total aberration from the rest of the season due to the Sacred Heart team.

Top 5th, Houston ties it up off of Rajkowski. No out, Jake Wallace making an early entry into this game.

I watched the video feed vs. The Citadel and they looked like a high school team. That was an awful series for us.

Wish we had gotten more length from Gardner today.

No question about it. It's been the big problem since the Cate injury and then with how Gardner has done since he got hit by the line drive. Aside from Feole, UConn has not been getting a lot of innings from their starters, and that serves to further expose the bullpen.

Conor Moriarty continues to make his late season offensive comeback, he has a walk and a double in this game. Houston pitching change in the 5th after the Moriarty lead off double.
