So Bush started at leadoff, dropped down, stayed at clean up for a while, dropped down and now is 9 spot. Amazing the ups and downs of a season.

I don’t know if this was mentioned yesterday but Chris Jones said Austin Peterson was flown back to Connecticut to get X-rays on his foot

Yesterday Chris Jones mentioned that it appeared that Peterson's foot might be injured when Peterson came out of the game. The mention about the x-rays is new to me as of a few minutes ago when Chris Jones mentioned it.

Bottom 1st, Gallagher comes up with a scoreless inning with the help of an infield double play. No score.

Bottom 2nd,

It's been a busy day, which helped me to forget to listen to the Penders postgame interview from last night. Probably the only one I haven't listened to all season. I don't know yet if Penders said anything about the Peterson injury during the interview.

Bottom 2nd, after a leadoff double, a 1 out walk followed by a single ties up the game. 2 runners on base. Another double combined with an error on Simmons drives in 2 more runs, 3-1 Georgetown.

Penders needs to pull them aside and send a statement to them. They seem to be sleepwalking. Mental mistakes already.

Top 3rd, Bushling with a leadoff double, Smith follows with a no out rbi double to make the score 3-2. Stock with a no out rbi single to tie the game at 3, he moves to 2B on the throw.

If we get swept, and don’t win the BE tourney, we risk NCAA selection, especially if other league tourneys yield surprise champions. This could get ugly.

Top 3rd, Huber with a sac fly, UConn now up 4-3.

Donlan with a 2 out double, but nothing more comes of it. Chris Jones says UConn has already matched its hit total from last night. Already have several doubles, always nice to see from them.

I expect players to move up and down the lineup due to performance during the course of the season, but have to admit, Bushling has been all over the place in the lineup, that's for sure. Don't see too many guys batting leadoff, cleanup, and in the 9 spot all in one season.

Top 4th, Padilla with a 1 out double, but he is stranded. 4-3 UConn.

Bottom 4th, a one out double and single puts runners at the corners. Gallagher gets 2 strikeouts to get out of the jam. Gallagher now has 5 strikeouts on the game, and he is at 65 pitches. 4-3 UConn.

Bottom 5th, a 1 out solo homer for Georgetown, 5-4. After a 2 out single, Gallagher gets out of the inning with no further damage.
