Bottom 5th, Stefanoni faces the minimum with the aid of a double play. 3-1 UConn. Stefanoni at 70 pitches.

Top 6th, scoreless inning for the UConn offense.

By the way, so far Stefanoni has not walked anyone today. Hope he can go a couple more innings.

Geez, just watching their body expressions out there, they just appear to be in la la land.

Bottom 6th, with 2 out and a runner at 2B (reached base on a 1 out hit by pitch), Stefanoni coming out of the game. Ian Cooke coming in to pitch. Gives up a 2 run homer to tie the game at 3.

They continue to get 2 out runs and we continue to leave runners stranded on base with less than 2 outs. Recipe for disaster.

Also, too many pop outs from UConn bats. That rut comes and goes, and right now it seems to be back.

Anemic (through 6)...

Top 7th, UConn has 2 batters reach on walks, but a double play ends the inning. Game tied at 3.

Honestly, I think it's the ballpark. We always seem to struggle in smaller ballparks. I think our guys eyes get big and we tend to swing for the fences too much. We are leaving an absurd amount of runners on base today.

If I were Pender's, I would send a message right now. Clear the bench and screw the outcome. Maybe it will send a message for the BE tourney.

Bottom 7th, with 1 out and 2 runners on base, Cooke comes out, O'Donnell in to pitch, facing a lefty hitter. O'Donnell strikes out the lefty, Garrett Coe takes the mound.

Pitching wise, with the success that Stefanoni had today, I'm inclined to think that soft tossers with solid control are the best bet against the Georgetown offense.

Infield error on Padilla brings in a run for Georgetown, 4-3 Hoyas, runners on the corners. A walk loads the bases.

As bad as we have looked, I have a theory. With them clinching the BE regular season title last week and having a very veteran older team, I think college kids do what college kids do and perhaps they had a little too much fun back in Storrs this week and it's showing.

Am I missing something on Jack Sullivan not being a high-leverage guy?

UConn is outright BE Champ regardless of today’s outcome. Need to right the mojo tho’

School is out and yet there is a travel curfew. Ridiculous that it would cost a team a chance at a Co Big East title. Some rules are just meant to be changed.

Boy, does the left side of our infield make me cringe every time they throw to first. And yet another 2 out run scored by Georgetown

Bottom 7th, a 2 out infield single makes the score 5-3 going to the top of the 8th.

Creighton had a doubleheader today, maybe a plane needed to be caught.

Schedule the flight for later if you know you have a Dan Hurley. Seems like common sense.
