With no backup post .... really needed a second big or at least a power forward in order to compete against the elite teams.

I guess you missed the point which is what needs to be done to be national champs. This team went further than expected but the teams with the rebounding played for the championship.

Without a strong center and a power forward next season will disappointing . The recruiting program is puzzling in that they can’t seem to get rebounders. The weakness of the last three seasons has been defense and rebounding. Finesse and three point shooting will only carry you so far.

The rebounding deficit came on the defensive end. Seemed like when a husky shot , the rest of the team stood there watching or looking for the fast break. In addition to the turnovers, how many loose balls and rebounds bounced off their hands or were knocked out of their hands. I counted at...

Maybe UCONN learned a lesson. Buffalo showed them what real intensity is and how to keep it for the entire game!

Lou certainly showed flashes of her old self, but to me she looked pretty shaky. She also tired quickly and lost her shot. Couldn’t tell if she was hurting or just holding back. It is our hope that she can get back her mojo soon. Pheesa is a warrior but she needs help from her partner, so...

The best offensive, defensive, rebounding, performance was Gustafson . She is an amazing warrior.

Was Gustovson terrific in both games or what....she was pushed, held, shoved, mugged for both games. She won the wrestling arch and the ball game.

What a nice job the uconn ladies did. A great chance for Liv to get into game rythum and she did a terrific job. What can you say about Pheesa she knew what had to be done and she did it. Really enjoyed this game.

Pheesa....I really like Lou but I fear that she will not hold up physically to the rough play in the pros.

Fascinating game. The bench players won the game. Ono was responsible for just about every defensive stop in the fourth quarter. Not bad for a 19 yr old kid. Pheesa is not nearly as effective w/o Lou . Not her fault. The lack of depth is Geno’s fault. The poor recruiting has a terrible...

I would love to see Seattle Storm get Gustafson...

Megan was bad . She looked like she was sleep walking. Ono was much more effective in every aspect. It seems to me that When Walker has a bad start she plays the entire game that way.

Let us not forget that these are AAC teams hat our defense is not performing that good against. The defensive weakness has not really improved that much. Guard blow-bys, over shifting to help leaving posts open for easy shots or easy put backs, no defensive stopper for opponents best scorer...

Have really enjoyed watching Ono’s improvements , and I agree she does have good hands.

The zone is much more effective with Liv in the lane.

That was because Ono clogged up the lane. Why Geno took her out baffles me.

It seems to be pretty simple no big girl no national championship. It seems like the coaching staff or Geno got complacent about recruiting position players and deferred to ESPN . I would also disagree that there are no bigs playing in the north.
