Texas and Cal have most HS players in Sweet Sixteen

Could be but I feel Texas and California have consistently been the top states. A while back I researched all the college all-Americans from like 1975 to the present and Texas and California were well ahead of every state

Texas and Cal have most HS players in Sweet Sixteen

The other 2 players from Washington are Oti Gilson (Oregon U) and Anna Wilson (Stanford). It took quite awhile to do. It would of been easy just taking everyone on each teams roster but it includes all the red shirts and some who never played this year.

Texas and Cal have most HS players in Sweet Sixteen

Using each schools official stats and rosters I compiled a list of every player who has at least played one minute this year AND is listed as being on their current roster (this would exclude players listed on the roster who are red-shirting or who transferred, etc.). The range for each school...

Updated Top States of ALL College AA's

Some expressed interest in my listing of all the College AP AA's from 95-17 by player's home state. It included 201 US players. Never did I expect to go any further but I did. Mainly this was just an educational project for myself as I have not been following women's bb for that long. Even the...

Thank you very much. I was just getting tired of getting them all as many took some time to get. Anyway now I have the home state of EVERY WBCA (1975-2017) and AP (1995-2017) All-Americans! I will try to put everyone into one list, maybe starting tomorrow. I shouldn't of just done the most...

    Top States Producing College All-American's

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have expanded my research back to 1975 and all the WBCA All-Americans but am having trouble finding either the state of the last high school or just whatever states these players may have played in before going to college. I need help with Jan Irby...

You are correct! In fact I was surprised at how many players were multi year AA's. There were a few years where of the 15 from one year, maybe 9 of those same players duplicated the feat the next year.

I might have to agree with you. When you can have a frountcourt of Tina, Breanna and Chamique and a backcourt of Sue and maybe Epiphany, it's hard to find a better starting five! Possibly just TX or CAL could match it. Cal can put Courtney Paris, Tina Thompson, DT, Kelsey Plum and possibly a...

    Top States Producing College All-American's

I tallied the states where the AP College All-American team players played their high school basketball in. I used the AP teams because they listed 15 players for each year, which was the largest sample size. Since AP started their AA teams in 95, the same year as UConn's 1st title, that seemed...

Washington State is correct! They are the only Power 5 school with zero wins. I didn't include the Big East in my group, so obviously Providence would be incorrect, but a good guess! Added note; Providence has made it to 5 tourneys and actually made the sweet sixteen in '91.

UConn career 2 PT FG% leaders

Constantly hearing about Napheesa's tremendous FG% this year got me to look at the UConn records for FG%. A Good No Call?

You can look back at every call made in a game and question it. What's funny is how one team always feels the calls went against them and the other team thinks the calls went against them. All the best players

UConn now gets virtually all the VERY BEST players they want, but that comes with having the best coach with the best program. Info on Tamika Williams

As a Johnny come lately UConn fan I was not watching them 15 years ago. While watching the Huskies this year we all marvel (and rightfully so) over Napheesa's efficiency at shooting (around 68%). When perusing the Huskies record book, I am amazed that the 4 best FG%'s for a single season are...
