The fears of our AD getting left behind are overblown

If the PAC-6 is no longer with us, the Big East is not safe. Yes, the search for higher revenue streams is necessary to compete at a higher level. You would be ok with $40M deficits to stay in big east? That’s insane. The entire athletic department is underperforming revenue rise with the main...

    New PAC-12 Forming

I think you need to stop smoking the good stuff. There are so many false info in your post that it is not worth a proper response. If B12 folks are all like you, they really need to get off whatever they are smoking. There is a reason why B12 paid media consultants while you are just another...

    UConn to Big XII Imminent?

I like the saltiness of this - versus a beggars can’t be choosers attitude. UConn brings a lot - and football WILL improve - even with no TV money, nowhere to go but up.

Why? If Fox doesn't want to pay us more in the Big 12 vs the Big East, why would they want to pay even more in the B1G?

    Week 01 NCAA Football

The O'Brien hiring is maddening. The program was in rough shape but now he has them looking real good and the press keeps playing up the BC legacy of bulldozer o lineman. Makes our recruiting that much tougher, as noted above.

    New PAC-12 Forming

...FSU and Clemson have been linked to the B12. But you can pretend if you want to. IF 2 schools leave the ACC it's likely more leave as well. B1G will take some for sure. The ACC is likely going to lose 6+ teams so yes I can see how Stanford and Cal could end up having to choose between...

UConn Headed To Big 12?? That's The Unofficial Report

We keep hearing about how the ACC is going to implode, yet nothing has happened. FSU’s lawsuit is going nowhere and the B1G and SEC have no interest in FSU or Clemson. The Big12 is a demotion for the top ACC schools. At the end of CR either the ACC stays in tact and adds the top B12 programs to...

    UConn to Big XII Imminent?

The ACC is going down the toilet. I don't want to be on that turd when the B1G and SEC are done and ready to flush. It's Big 12 or bust.

Angry-Embarrassed- Frustrated-Depressed 1. Kiss B12 invite good bye 2. Do not schedule any more games with B1G -SEC 3. Both O-Line + D-Line overmatched. 4. QB situation even more muddled 5. Lost count of missed tackles 1 missed FG 1 shanked punt 1 fumbled punt return 2 ejected for...

UConn Headed To Big 12?? That's The Unofficial Report

I agree. If talent starts to really consolidate on a small number of exceptionally well funded programs, fan interest in college football will fall off a cliff.

...right now as well. Coach was locked up long term despite interest from other schools. I don't think they fit in the SEC, but they'd go if offered. They'd be with Missouri, OU and Arkansas that are traditional opponents. The B1G has already expanded a bit too much and isn't likely to add...

Uconn Basketball considering joining the Big 12 in 2026

This is my favorite part of realignment. When the casuals come out and suggest we just waddle on over to the ACC or B1G. Like we're just able to speak it into existence

We need to merge with either McGill University or University of Toronto so as to gain favor/entry into the B1G.

You didn’t get the joke. I was cracking on the ACC stance that they think UConn would always be there so there was no urgent need to act.

...offers more stability for UConn going forward. The ACC is going to be torn apart, so the grouping of schools in the ACC will be uncertain at best. Some of those ACC schools could end up in the Big 12. The B1G is the dream landing spot, but if that can't happen, I think the Big 12 is the...

...you go with the Big 12. They are argueably more stable and better positioned to stay in the P3 slot. There are way more teams in the ACC that would get poached by the B1G and SEC if/when they implode and would be a shell of themselves. Of course, we don't have an offer from either, so it's...

Big 12 Speculation Will Hurt Recruiting

We might see something like this eventually. Aside from money, nobody likes this. Once the players get paid, the whole thing collapses financially. The most logical outcome is a football super-league with those schools willing to pay and compete at that level. That's not even all the P4...

I believe the B1G is watching, not necessarily with interest, but with curiosity(I guess thats interest) The people in those seats don't get there by leaving any stones unturned. Should Mora and the Pigskin men hit it out of the park this year, eyebrows will be raised in all the right places...

    UConn to Big XII Imminent?

ESPN and Fox aren't going to let the B1G and SEC pick apart the Big 12, why would they want Big 12 schools in the SEC and B1G at a higher rate? Look at the comment about Fox maybe not wanting to chip in because they already have UConn in the Big East.

ACC is political. They are failing ACC. There will realign after all this is done and geography will matter again as they fix the sport. Right now, ya gotta find your place in the mix.

    UConn/Big 12 Meeting Next Week

Some B12 AD's are against UC entry. Some are for it. Some could either way. B12 presidents will make that decision. Expansion is usually done in pairs. If BB is a factor, Duke would make a good entry partner. North Carolina is a top pick for SEC / B1G. Same for Virginia.

    UConn to Big XII Imminent?

Still think the B1G are clowns for not scooping up UConn and literally locking up the NY/Northeast Market. But, at this point the B12 actually looks like a more dynamic, fun conference with some great programs.

  31. ZooCougar

For the record, my dream scenario is that FSU takes its ball and heads to the Big 12

Theory: UConn to the Big 12 is supported by ESPN in part because it is setting the stage for them to not renew with the ACC. The floodgates open from the ACC and the Big 12 gets their pick after UNC and TBD decide between the B1G and the SEC.

    UConn to Big XII Imminent?

I'm not saying a Kanasa move is, sorry, imminent but it's not crazy for them to improve football a bit more and be coveted for basketball, decent football, and their AAU status by either the B1G and/or the SEC.
