    Record Fundraising Year For UConn

We are still WAY below where we should be and need to be...athletically and academically. Moving forward, post-covid, post-secondary education is going to be financially challenged more than ever. The State of CT will likely allocate less and less to UConn and alum are going to need to step up...

2021 Recruiting: Rahsool Diggins virtual visit

I see a slightly less athletic AJ Price. But seems to be smooth and under control at all times.

    Recruits attending tonight’s game

Right...we sometimes forget that not everything is a signal to be interpreted. Agree with BizLawyer...he's a teenager being invited to a fun/exciting CBB double header at the Garden. He likely agrees to go whether he is considering UConn or not.

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

We've been through this.....scroll up dude.

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

Agree, Gilbert been underperforming, but lacks a logical replacement. CV underperforming and the best player on the team is his backup. Make the move Dan.

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

Sure Bouk's sample size is small, but if we are correcting, then remove the 7 steals that Vital got vs Sacred Heart and suddenly he's not longer tops in the nation. Bouk passes the eye test and the advanced metrics test. He makes smarter decisions with the ball and is only a Frosh. I'm not...

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

CV's TS% this year is 51%...mostly due to poor shot selection. He's a senior...this shouldn't be an issue any longer. BA is 66%, Tyler Phommachanh 61%, Bouk is 70%. All much more efficient. As for rebounding, it's not the volume, it's more about positioning. He's not battling bigs for rebounds, he's often...

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

You do realize there is a correlation between minutes played and statistics....right? On a per 40 minute basis Bouk is averaging 30 pts, 10 rebounds and 2.2 steals vs Vital at 19 pts, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. The answer is obvious.....

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

You do realize Vital is NOT an efficient scorer and he doesn't grab that many contested rebounds. Bouknight can rebound just as well (given the minutes) and is already a more well rounded scorer. You lose nothing by replacing Vital with Bouk...it's a net positive. Let Vital feast on 2nd teamers.

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

Why? Hurley benched him last year....and we have more talent this year. Not sure his decision making has improved all that much. He's shooting 36% from the field. What does he add that Bouknight doesn't?

Hurley mentions Possible Starting Lineup Change

The answer is obvious. Start Bouk and bring CV off the bench. He can chuck versus the opponents 2nd team, add a spark and likely be more efficient and effective.

    Looking good for Javonte

This is such a classic hedge, I actually laughed out loud. So....Huskies are my pick and I will take credit if it's UConn, but Aggies were making up some ground so I'll take credit for that if he picks A&M.

All quiet on Javonte Brown Ferguson

I believe it's called reflecting...something that doesn't seem to occur much in teens today because of unlimited access to devices and social media. Maybe he just wants to think through what is likely the most important decision in his life to date. wow....do I ever sound like my father...

    Javonte Brown-Ferguson on campus already

Everyone on here has some sorta voyeuristic desire to be on the inside and get news or information flow before it's public. There is NO ONE on here who has the right to criticize those that may actually have this look and the ability/desire to share with the rest of us. If anyone here is...

Hopefully Andre plans to pursue a business degree with an emphasis on marketing....sell baby, sell!

    OT: 1990 Storrs

In 1990 it was Store 24. I remember all the Mass kids called it Store 2-4 (like 10-4)

    Javonte Brown-Ferguson Reclass?

Javonte Brown Ferguson said he would decide after the new year. Unless he's talking about the Jewish new year, are we really willing to wait?

2020 Recruiting: UConn in for Andre Jackson

The recruiting shouldn't end until he arrives on campus as a frosh. This ain't Hurley's first rodeo, he knows what to expect from the opposition.

2020 Recruiting: UConn in for Andre Jackson

Hurley @ Brewster Academy to see Kadary Richmond

I understand the desire to be vague (recruiting is fluid and NO ONE really knows), but for some of us who struggle with reading between the lines, please spell it out...as clearly as possible. Much appreciated.

$17m early buyout agreement per Blaud

Serious question to Uconn FB fans...do you want to play Clemson's and Bama's of the world or would you prefer a more competitive game against a lesser P5 opponent? I assume for financial reasons UConn will pursue any/all P5 opponents but which is preferable? Also, do P5 teams typically play...

    Joel Ntambwe (UNLV Transfer)

Totally agree. If the coach sits you don't and productively tells you that your style of play doesn't fit and that you will struggle to see the court for awhile, why is that so awful? Hurley is well connected in the coaching ranks and can, and likely would, go out of his way to help a kid with...

    OT: Moving to Fairfield County

I've lived in Westport for 8 years after 20 in Manhattan. Moved for the schools, the space, and the attraction of beach living. I commute to NYC every day, by train, and I live a couple miles from train station. I go out of Green Farms which is the town's hidden gem. Small station/parking...

Undersized at the 3, Crowded at the 4

We may not know what works, but have to assume Hurley does. Not like Sid hasn't been practicing with the team this entire time. Sid will have to earn PT, but hopefully we have a good sense of what rotations work well.
