We are allowed to feel good when Duke is experiencing turmoil. Maybe send a message to all those 5* who think it's a dream to play for Duke. Not for these 5*'s, they couldn't get out fast enough. Screw Duke.
Discussing Mens mental health, particularly in Sports, is very unusual. Usually it's someone who got in legal trouble or had a major drug addiction who talks about their mental health. This is the Back to Back National championship coach talking about it, not someone on the defensive.
As...
His on floor interview when he said something about CT having "a lot of resources" with a raised eyebrow. He was basically saying that the State of CT is going to take care of him KU can pound sand.
Someone mentioned "recency bias". As for most important PG you'd have to put Chris Smith in there. All-time leading scorer and Calhoun's first bigtime recruiting "get". Anything done in the last 25 years is partly on his shoulders...
Honestly, this feels like the mirror universe 1999. They are already proclaiming us Dominant (remember the "Duke Invitational" from 1999?) when in reality Purdue has had an equal amount of success overall this season. Honestly, if Alabama gets hot or if we face Purdue we could easily lose.
My favorite thing about him is the compliments he throws at everyone around him. Very proud of his coaches and players, UConn history (and past coaches/players), the Big East, (most) other team's coaches, etc. He very much wants to lift the profile of the league and the Program...
Alabama knows they have to shoot even better from 3 against UConn. In a football stadium where depth perception gets tricky. While the 6'1" star against Duke is being covered by an elite 6'6" defensive wizard.
I predict Alabama will get their 3s up until the point comes when UConn buries them...
We've had a lot of slow starts. I don't like falling behind early but what usually crushes other teams seems to focus our team, that's good coaching and experienced resolve. Yeah, a good defensive player may be able to shut down one or two of our guys but we play a kind of team ball you rarely...
As someone said previously, opposing fans now know they can get under his skin and get a reaction out of him. This could lead to further escalation and situations where bad things happen.
Been watching since the 1970's and I have to agree. The gam eon Saturday was a matchup of top 4 teams in the country. UConn looked like the Harlem Globetrotters out there it was so lopsided...
The best teams can lose and the Tournament has it's own magic but if we play like we've been playing...
I didn't like it. Food was plentiful but not great. Get off on an island and face 200 people wanting you to buy their trinkets. On the boat the rooms were tiny and too many people. Never again, for me.
It's so nice to have someone who actually remembers what happened with the whole Patriots to Hartford move. It was in all the papers and happened just like FfldCntyFan said but there are always so many "Kraft screwed Hartford" revisionists out there...The CT Legislature fumbled the Patriots to...
Meltdown? 50% want to stay in the BE, 40% have been around long enough to just feel a dull numbness...the other 10% may melt-down but in 5 years when the next round of CR emerges, they will join one of the other two groups...
Read this thread from the beginning to review our realignment history. We are Charlie Brown kicking a football...I don't think any team in the country has been screwed over more by CR (some of it self-inflicted) than we have...
Not official as far as I can tell but pretty close! Does this move the needle for Soccer in the US?

Agreed, there's so much $ in the Big 12 because of Texas/Oklahoma. Substitute those two team for UConn/Gonzaga? Yeah networks won't be chomping at the bit...
