PC beat your roster of lottery picks the year before. As for "depleted rosters"; PC was the depleted roster in the first meeting. Both games went to OT. Too bad you guys won't play us anymore...:)

Yes, we should definitely have another discussion about which team was more injured last year. We've only had 10 threads about the topic since the season ended.

Cooley is doing the best job at PC since Pitino and in a much weaker Big East, could start winning the league in a few years.

Good for them. But, not our league and apart from competition for a few recruits, I really don't care.

You're right, we don't play you anymore and we are no longer in your conference. Maybe its time to start trolling the Creighton board...

Pc got a huge recruit last night and so should end on a high note, please stop posting on the boneyard.. go hang out with the 3 nova fan on their board

Yeah, good luck in that power conference you're in! By my count your whole conference historically has 3 National Championships in mens basketball [Vill, Georgetown, Marq] - BUT UCONN has 3 in the last 15 years! PC is and has been irrelevant on the national scene forever, so you PC fans [all 10 of you] have fun in the NBE. There's NO REASON for us to play you now.

Sean has been and can be a bit of a jerk and very repetitive.

Lindsey is a nice recruit. Solid top 50 kid. Not likely an All-American but darn solid. He could be fantastic with his jumper and Austin/Dunns slashing ability. Honestly Austin was a much more impressive get because he has no ties to PC. Dunn was being recruited by Fairfield before he blewup and Lindsey has Providence ties. Lindsey needs serious work on his handle.

That said, the UL offer wasn't a serious offer for a few weeks/months at least. I'm not sure UFs was either. They may have been at one point but UL has a higher ranked and IMO better SF in Aaron and UF is also after bigger fish with Francis capable of playing the three.

Interestingly enough Cooley started recruiting him after he saw him play while he was looking at a teammate of Jalen's. Only months later did he learn from Jalen's father about the Rhode Island connection and by then the full court press was on.

In regards to his skill set, many have compared him to Andre Igudala. Good shooter, terrific finisher, weak ballhandler. That's why he left Tennessee for Huntington so he can play the wing.

Cooley is something else, we got one or two top 100 recruits in the last 10 years and he lands 4 top 50's in the 1st 3 classes and is not done yet. All the while having zero record of achievement other than some visible improvement to show.

I probably understand the plight of the PC fans on here better than most, I'm a Cubs fan. I must say however that Cubs fans handle their lot in life with much more aplomb.

I agree- I was hoping for an update on Abu. I guess we are going to hear about any player we are looking at that winds up picking PC- it's the only thing we have left to talk about and once this upcoming season starts that pretty much will be the end of- anyone giving a rat's ass about the other school.

I imagine this is going to be one of the last threads with PC fans ever- they did have our number and play us very well- they have a talented team and will be good next year- I just do not care at all anymore how they do or who they get- if a player goes to PC vs UCONN I have to question there judgment and PC is welcome to them. That said PC should be right near the top of the new BE (throw up in mouth here).

Good luck and please realize you are welcome to come here and talk basketball but please also understand that we do not GAF about PC and it's future - at least not enough to talk about it on a UCONN board.

Best of luck.

This is why he will succeed: From Jalen Lindsey, who chose PC over offers from FLA, Louisville, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt; "I chose them because they were recruiting me the hardest out of everybody," he told . "Coach Cooley is the most sincere, hardworking, dedicated family type of coach I have ever met and that's who I want to play for."

Apparently he never met coach Ollie.

They appear to be similar, I agree. That was one of the reasons and I said this a while ago that I was upset we apparently won't be playing each other anymore.

What is that godfather line about being pulled back into it....?

1st off uconn needs to play osu iu puke Michigan cuse Florida , but not pc.. it helps your team, not uconn.. if we are going to play a pc like team then I hope the money stays in the state like central or yale :-)..
A win over pc does not help us....

Ok back to abu.. I am hearing possible visit in a few weeks. Probably not official yet

i'm i the only one who thinks his offers aren't that great? sure UL and florida but the last three aren't that great. tend to agree with a poster above, i think his recruits are overrated
Ohio State isn't great? You have really high standards.

He comes across like a 12 year old trolling from his mom's basement, the scary thing is I'm guessing he's in his mid 30's and trolling from his mom's basement.

The 94 is either the year he was born or his IQ. Nothing else would make any sense.

Well, Kevin Ollie trumps those characteristics ten times over. He is the hardest working, most diligent, sincere and caring person most people will ever encounter. He's come from a horrible environment and has won the respect of countless people both in basketball and outside it. He's a true family man, very religious and someone who gets everything out of his players as exemplified by the sterling season he had with a very limited roster and a number of injuries.

And yet at the mere mention of Cooley; your board goes nuts. PC fans didn't bring him up; you did

Yes and this is OUR board where OUR fans go to talk about OUR team. You should remember that before you decide to get into a pissssing match

Yeah, it really hurts our RPI to no longer have a team with an RPI in triple digits. What a shame. In actuality we might even like PC if it wasn't for trolls like you and some of your friends. Why the jealousy????? Why the digs. It seems like playing UConn close and occasionally winning a game makes your season while PC unfortunately doesn't command a lot of attention from the team. I think UConn has quite often not taken PC seriously and played their C game or worse while PC played their A+ game, thus PC's enjoying a couple of wins at our expense. You would think we'd learn but not so much, I guess. Anyway, we probably will never ever try and get an out of conference with you because you and PC are irrelevant. If we were to schedule the new Big East, it'd probably be Villanova or Georgetown, someone with relevance.

Not that too many people care about who the Friars get but I seem to remember you always being a nice civil poster and someone with some class. It's unfortunate that some of your buddies from the PC site come over here and create an environment where many on our board blindly attack any PC person coming here. It isn't fair to you and some other quality PC posters to get painted with the same brush as those idiots that create all the ill will when posting here. We can definitely do without them and hopefully you and some others can deter them from ever posting here again.

Dude, I was in no way saying anything bad about Ollie. I was posting what the recruit said.

If I was awful it was only because I was returning the favor. Usually it's responding to some smart ass kid after they get home from school and are bored. You and Buzzboy are not too bad for young guys. sdhusky is another story.

P.S. Yes it's easy to tell.

Sean, you're posting this gibberish on a board that has seen their team win 3 NC's over the past 14 years. Meanwhile, PC hasn't been to the NCAA's in over 9 years. Do you really think you can get our collective goats with the above dribble?
