I was playing pool in the barracks at Cherry Point, N.C. in 1955 when a friend came over and said, "Chuck, you gotta see this guy." I went over to the tv set and, for the first time, watched Elvis Presley singing "Shake, Rattle and Roll" and my life in music was changed forever.

Colt Park? Saw the Beach Boys there. The Turtles, too. And does anyone remember Phlorescent Leech & Eddie?
That was probably Dillon Stadium, where I saw the Rolling Stones in 1966.

Two of my favorite tv shows of all time are from those years: M*A*S*H and Soap. And, as previously mentioned, Stevie Nicks is the best (and Fleetwood Mac isn’t too bad either).

I remember debating which side of an album to listen to.
My girlfriend at the time, ('72-'73), was going to URI, (semi-easy drive from Storrs,) I went to visit and at a dorm room party, as the guest, was given the "honor" of picking which side of the debut Eagles album I wanted to hear, The "Peaceful Easy Feeling" side, or the "Take It Easy" side.
Feeling the "mellow vibe" of the room, went with "Peaceful Easy Feeling" as I recall.

Yep, I was. We girls were also required to wear dorky rompers for gym class, color coded by class year.
