Rich Farms is right down the road though

You'll actually be closer to Rich Farm in Oxford, and about the same distance to Arethusa in Litchfield as to Ferris . They're all good.Go to Ferris Acres in Newtown for ice cream
I can second Denmo's, they're really good.
Maggie’s may have the worlds biggest menuDon't forget Maggie McFly's in Southbury. Extensive menu, excellent food. And I'll second MarketPlace in Woodbury - very good.
Moca Almond Fudge on a waffle cone is my current favorite. You'll actually be closer to Rich Farm in Oxford, and about the same distance to Arethusa in Litchfield as to Ferris . They're all good.
Yes it is. Friend of the family. Great food and great people. Italian place up the road, towards Quassy isn't bad, either.Best in the town, IMO. Is John’s cafe still there?
Do people who live in Southbury or Woodbury consider their towns part of northwest CT?NEXT!!!
I loved living in NW CT. Too distant and too long ago to give you advice. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Not at all. Referencing living in the sticks.Do people who live in Southbury or Woodbury consider their towns part of northwest CT?
No traffic lights? Did you live there in the 1940's?Not at all. Referencing living in the sticks.
I loved the quiet. No traffic lights, hardly any commercial and very few people. And most of them were NY weekenders.
Live in a small city now which is the reverse of @Zionn route. Surrounded by breweries (50 within a ten mile radius) and restaurants.
Wise guy!No traffic lights? Did you live there in the 1940's?
Seriously? Woodbury or Southbury?Wise guy!
Town still doesn't have traffic lights.
GoshenSeriously? Woodbury or Southbury?
Is Woodbury Ski and Racket still around? I know Rod Taylor passed away.
Speaking of:
I was only 10 and too young at the time of this show, but we used to go to concerts there all the time in high school. Rod worked the door. He pretty much let us run amok there.
That's where the legendary tennis players retire to.Goshen

Yes Ivan Lendl lives in Goshen. That's where the legendary tennis players retire to.
My best friend when I was younger lived there. They did not have cable on his street until the 90's. In addition to Lendl, I believe Madeline L'Engle was also a resident.Goshen
I have family in Bantam and we stopped by for ice cream last summer. Arethusa seems to be taking the place over.Live in area 3/4 my life, if in Litchfield go to Bohemian pizza. It’s best pizza around by a mile. Although great Thai food in Southbury - across street from Walgreens, in plaza where Nardelli’s is.

Late 90’s for us.My best friend when I was younger lived there. They did not have cable on his street until the 90's. In addition to Lendl, I believe Madeline L'Engle was also a resident.

Stones rented out something for a few months like 30 years ago but none of them have ever lived in Washington that I'm aware of. Kissinger lives in Washington or at least did when I was in CT.Yes Ivan Lendl lives in Goshen.
And since we're name dropping @Zionn if you head up to Lake Waramaug try the Hopkins Inn. Great place to have a romantic meal. Winery nearby. Got a chance to see Henry Kissinger there. Rolling Stones have a place in Washington.
If in Litchfield try the Bantam Pizza.
I worked for Rod at Woodbury ski and racquet through high school and college and was at most of those shows. reggae festivals and the shows in the lodge that I was working at but Rod still tried to charge me for. Brings back a lot of great memories. Who am I kidding I don’t really remember any of it. Rod was hilarious! I do remember him dancing like a maniac often so doesn’t surprise me. Sad that he is gone. No one more unique than that guy! Awesome is a good description. He was awesome. My folks saw him dancing like a maniac at a wedding like a week before he dropped from a heart attack.
