I don't know if this is true or not. On Rebkell they are saying Brondello instructed her Aussie Olympians to sit out the last couple games before the break. So...she kept a couple players from her opponent's team from playing in a game she's coaching, that's gotta be a conflict of interest isn't it? Everything about the WNBA in Olympics years is just bizarre though.
They are playing the USA in an exhibition in Las Vegas so they really can't go home and come back. Maybe she needs to be suspended after the Olympics the number of games her players missed.

Not good news. That was a hard collision Crystal did not look good. Not sure if it was a blatant moving pic.

"They had two more fouls [eight] than Layshia Clarendon [six]," said Reeve, who was particularly angered by what appeared to be a moving screen by A'ja Wilson that Lynx point guard Crystal Dangerfield crashed into in the third quarter, injuring her right shoulder. Last year's WNBA Rookie of the Year did not return to the game.

Balanced Lynx thump Las Vegas for sixth consecutive victory - StarTribune.com

Napheesa having some offensive difficulties. Especially with her handle leading to TO's but is the clear leader of the defensive side and communicates all the time Only played 36.5 minutes.
That screen Wilson set on Dangerfield was illegal and dangerous. No foul called.

Allegedly, Brondello told Talbot and Ezi that they had to sit out last night’s game. Seattle understood Brondello and Alana Smith would sit out the game as well. Well, Sue hinted at this

I'm watching the game now. There's absolutely no question A'ja was moving.

Definitely a dislocated or subluxed shoulder. The same thing happened to me in the same conditions playing basketball.

The officiating is horrible, but not much worse than the usual WNBA game.

The announcing is actually more one-sided than the officiating. (Edit: I was watching on the ESPN app and with Carolyn Peck commenting figured it was an ESPN broadcast, but I think it was an Aces broadcast, so no foul on the homerism.)

Mystics leading Sky by 2 at halftime. Charles is having another big game, but Parker is just about matching her. Sloot has 8 assists already. Some good minutes for Gustafson off the bench, on pace for a double double.

Strange game. Sky went from down 7 to up 2 in a hurry at the end of regulation, but couldn't secure a D board to preserve the win w/ almost no time left. They absolutely sucked in OT.

A few milestones. Parker hit 3000 rebounds. Sloot broke a tie w/ Penicheiro, now has an all time record 65 games w/ 10 or more assists. She's gonna put that one well out of reach before she retires probably. Had a nice 15 for the game. If Sue ever stops playing, Sloot still has a chance of catching her in total assists.

I need someone to decide already, is Jonquel Jones clearly the best player in the league this year, or is Tina Charles? Stewie and A'ja are probably still in the MVP conversation as well.

Another slow start for the Aces. Laimbeer must like starting out every game w/ a deficit. Replacing Cambage w/ Stokes isn't helping, since she absolutely can't score. Meanwhile the 2 players who turn around the momentum most of the time they are on the floor continue to begin each game on the bench. Brilliant.

Gray, Young, Williams and Stokes have combined for 6 points. Hamby and Plum have 25. Aces would totally suck if it wasn't for their bench.

Aj'a on triple double watch, needs 3 more assists. She's also gonna foul out the entire Dallas front court at the rate this game is going.

Rough game for Dallas. When their stars shoot like this, they have no chance. Sabally 0-10, Ogunbowale 4-17, Mabrey 0-4. Collier, Jefferson and Alarie picked up some of the slack, but not nearly enough.

Kia Nurse had a career game 28 pts (7-14 from 3). but loses. Part of the reason was Katie Lou with her second consecutive 14 pt effort and really smart smart defense. On the other hnad, Sandy Brondello clearly focused more on the Olympics than the Mercury with a bonehead decision not to foul and effectively letting Seattle bleed tie clock at the end.

Brondello wasn't there. Missing for personal reasons.
