Yes, but that situation was mainly for political reasons if I recall correctly. That doesn't happen often though.Didn't the Dream players force the former owner out?

Here's the ESPN story on that...Hines-Allen to the wings
While my reaction is positive, the actual words that came out of my mouth can't be typed on this site.DB to the fever

DeWanna Bonner to sign 1-year deal with Fever, sources say
Six-time WNBA All-Star DeWanna Bonner is signing a one-year deal with the Fever, sources told ESPN.www.espn.com
. The Fever has gone all out this off-season.Daaaang. Who do we expect to be the starters for the Fever? My guess is: Clark, Mitchell, Bonner, Howard and Boston.
Was she a free agent or was this part of a trade? I could see the fever trading a few players for Bonner (Samuelson and Wallace come to mind).
In the case of Samuelson and Wallace, it looks like they'll be waiver casualties, along with others like Saxton and Berger. It's very crowded right now. The Fever are far from done.Daaaang. Who do we expect to be the starters for the Fever? My guess is: Clark, Mitchell, Bonner, Howard and Boston.

They've definitely got some expendable wing players now. If they aren't trade bait, they're going to have to cut some players aren't they?Daaaang. Who do we expect to be the starters for the Fever? My guess is: Clark, Mitchell, Bonner, Howard and Boston.

Is it time for a "will the last one to leave please turn off the lights" joke?Mabrey will definitely be looking to get out of Connecticut.
Was she trying to last season? Not sure if that's a priority anymore.Well, I guess she isn't chasing a ring.
That's true. Maybe she has a lack of options at this point. Tried chasing a ring with several teams and it didn't work out well. Was she trying to last season? Not sure if that's a priority anymore.

Considering she was out of the league for a while before getting the opportunity with Atlanta, maybe. We'll never really know though. That's true. Maybe she has a lack of options at this point. Tried chasing a ring with several teams and it didn't work out well.
Not sure, but isn't Samuelson's contract guaranteed thru '25?In the case of Samuelson and Wallace, it looks like they'll be waiver casualties, along with others like Saxton and Berger. It's very crowded right now. The Fever are far from done.
Agree with your take: both Samuelson and Wallace are under contract through 2025 season, so they weren't going anywhere, unless traded. Not sure, but isn't Samuelson's contract guaranteed thru '25?
I thought that was why they needed to trade her, or hope GS picked her in expansion draft.
I think that's why they just let G Berger go.
Johannes is on rookie status for the Liberty.Yeah I agree with this. I like Sophie a lot, but I like Lexie Hull too. I wouldn't want to cut into Lexie's playing time too much. But Cunningham can play some backup 3 and backup 4 I guess, which means less time for KLS if she's still on the roster.
Connecticut... Crazy times. I don't know how they remain competitive next year. As a UConn fan I'm excited for ONO. I thought she always played whenever she got her opportunity. So it will be nice to see her get consistent minutes. I like Mabrey. Cloud is a good player.
I'm not sure if Seattle should just go after Johannes and call it a day. Id actually like them to go after chennedy Carter to replace JL. But to me Seattle is very intriguing in terms of being a contender this year.
I definitely hope Meesseman decides to come join her Belgian team coach. I've always really enjoyed her game.Well, re: the Connecticut Sun, I think just about all of us posters here are going to often see a UConn alumni front-court with Tina Charles and Olivia Nelson-Ododa.
As we saw other front courters go here and there, it started making sense that Tina could end up back in eastern Connecticut.
This iteration of the Connecticut Sun -- like many other WNBA teams -- will probably only last one year, but TC will get a chance to have a big year.
It will be really interesting to see if the Sun go after any more big names -- yes, I'm still thinking Emma Meesemman -- or it they fill out the roster with medium- or lesser-known players, along with whomever the draft brings in. Think Charles, Natasha Cloud and Marina Mabrey are going to need some help or their arms are gonna fall off! Stay tuned.
They don't really have anyone to trade and their draft picks are more valuable anyway. Free agents usually want to go to a winner and at this time Vals are not a winner. They really need to make sure they have a shot at a franchise player in the next two drafts.Just checking but have the Valkeries forgotten that signing free agents and making trades have started?
