So far it looks like Jackie Young is the player having an out of body experience.

They keep harping on "Vegas has a very thin bench." But with Hamby looking close to 100%, I think that's a fairly moot point. Aces play 7, Sun play 8. The difference in bench production has not been that significant. Once they have a talking point they can't let go of it, but I really don't think it's accurate.

What the hell?! Aces got off to a good start, then got hit by an avalanche. Are they gonna pack it in and start over in Game 4, or do they have some fight in them?

Las Vegas better tighten up their defense if they want to close out the series tonight.

Looks like this is going to be Connecticut's game tonight. Unless Las Vegas can get things figured out.

Was there a UConn Huskies / Geno sighting? Only explanation.

The answer is no, Aces don't have any fight in them tonight. Clear the bench, rest the starters, take a 50 or 60 point loss and start over on Sunday.

They did end the 2Q on an 8-0 run with a super tough 3pt shot at the buzzer. Only 11 down.

I'm a pretty cruddy sports fan. I've had my heart broken too many times. When it gets REALLY ugly, I have to quit watching. I shut this one down midway thru Q2. My reverse jinx worked again I see.

3 point shooting CAN be an indicator statistic, but it's not the be all and end all. Vegas was a cruddy 6-26 in Game 2 but rolled. Tonight 10-18 but in trouble the whole game.

You think the Sky were bad in Q4 of Game 5 against the Sun? Aces say "hold my beer." After getting the lead down to 6 near the end of Q3, they got outscored 28-7 in the final frame. Waived the white flag at some point and put the hapless reserves in. You can't dig yourself a 20+ point hole early in Q2. Vegas better come out a lot more focused in Game 4.

Well, the Aces made me look foolish w/ that whole bench thing. 26-5 scoring advantage for the Sun today. That I would call statistically significant.

62-26 combined in Q1 and Q4. Those middle 2 quarters were a decent game I guess. What an embarrassment for Vegas.

AT with a triple double. Balanced scoring, 6 in double figures.

Aces had 4. Looks like Bonner was able to slow down Gray quite a bit. Only 11 points, and only 7 FGA. Young w/ her best game of the playoffs but it got wasted in a stinker.

They finally put Bonner on Gray and made her a non-factor. You almost couldn't dream up a better game for the Sun.

Excellent bounce back game for the Sun, after I basically thought they were dead after the first two games. Vegas put up the white flag in Q4 and will live to see another day.

Alyssa Thomas' numbers were crazy good.

It's scary to think how she could play if her labrums were repaired. Then again, labrums don't provide the boundless energy she seems to have when on the court.

Would it be fair to say this series could be 2-1 for the Sun had Connecticut's shooting been better in Game 1? Just on Bonner's shooting alone, that game could have been a different end result.
On the flip side Plum matched her going 1-9 that game too so both had a key contributor who no showed. But I do think Connecticut losing game 1 is going to bite them hard...coming back from 0-2 is very difficult and they had a golden opportunity to win game 1. At least they showed up yesterday to make it a series. I think game 4 will be a battle.

Is it just me, or is the WNBA media blatantly rooting for Vegas?
It sucks for Sun fans. But they're not rooting for Vegas, they're rooting for Becky Hammond. Heck, if I wasn't a Sun fan, I'd be rooting for Becky Hammond.

It's not surprising that it appears to be more people rooting for Vegas. Much like the GSW in the NBA, Vegas plays a more exciting style of basketball, have likeable personalities and the storyline of Becky Hammond is is just icing on the cake.
