How many deaths did it take to shut down the most populated continent in the world? Or 13 million school children in Japan? I don’t see it happening
Thank you for serving. When I was a young Marine, I was hospitalized for a week with what my records say was Acute Respiratory Disease...unknown origin and not pneumonia.
Now, it would kill me..
There is also a vaccination for flu that many people get.Would you guys rather go to a basketball game that 1 in 100 people have the flu or 1 in 100 people have the coronavirus? Personally, I'd take my chances with the flu, but that's just me.
Hockey uniforms seem just about right.I believe the plan is for the audience to stay home, to use remote control cameras, for the refs to wear body suits and for the players to wear gloves and masks. Players that can dribble with gloves will have a tremendous advantage.
"Stayed tuned to us...............Nanny media will protect you".Thank you.
Semper Fi. Was a Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division.
Right. The media is causing decision makers to panic. So the media shouldn't report something that the world is taking seriously, the stock markets are plummeting over and the POTUS is going on TV to talk about what health officials are planning to do. Might this all be a big nothing. I hope so. But ok, the media should just shut down and nothing bad will ever happen in the world. But everyone attending games w the flu is ok??? Which is like 1000x and causes like 10000x more deaths?? Nice job by mainstream media creating a completely unnecessary panic.
No one should attend NCAA tournament games .
If all movie theatres are closed ,
Broadway shuts down , Hollywood shuts down all motion picture production and Major League Baseball is cancelled.
All schools and universities are closed, All shopping malls are closed
plus any other place were folks gather.Like the New York Stock exchange.
Whose prepared for that type of total isolation?
Singling out the NCAA tourney is just a publicity stunt to create a dissonance.
Folks who suggest stuff like this ,really believe you are morons.
This thread itself is political and should be moved to wherever we put stuff like that.
Pence says we have it under control. Big hoax.
How is that a political comment? The Vice President made a statement that he repeated here. What's so political about that? You guys really need to lighten up.NO POLITICAL COMMENTS ON THIS SITE
It’s spreading in China because it’s literally the most unsanitary place in the world. They stuff millions of people into a 5 story apartment complex and call it “efficient”. Why do you think every big virus starts there?
NCAA Tournament will be played with spectators. This is the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard.
See huskymedic info above. It’s fairly minuscule. The data makes sense because a severe respiratory disease places enormous stress on the cardiovascular system.Listening to some people you'd think every person who died was 80 and already about to die from something else. Obviously those people are going to be the most susceptible, as you would expect, but it's not 100% of the deaths that are like that.

Hardly political...we don't need leaders (like Pence) saying all is under control when serious testing has only ramped up the last couple days....just the facts please.NO POLITICAL COMMENTS ON THIS SITE
It might be, but it's already killed more people than SARS and MERS combined. The death rate might even be lower than reported because cases are under reported at this point in time. SARS and MERS were much more deadly.
Precautions should still be taken but as has been said this might be more in line with the flu
At least 30 flu deaths IN CONNECTICUT this season.
The message you quoted was a reply to that post. How does it compare to the flu? The huskymedic post was a response to my post about how people are saying the flu is just as bad or worse to get.
