Very strange second half. We only fouled twice in the entire first half, right? Refs inserted themselves into the game in the second half.
What?
There was an entire thread on itWhat?
Nope.I think this one may have been a dream. Did your teeth also fall out?
There was an entire thread on it
It was said right on the pregame broadcast. It wasn't even a secret. The analysts reported it before the game offhandedly like it was a weird thing to say. There are a lot of dumb threads on this board.
I would imagine if NCAA tournament refs were openly telling sideline reporters they were out to screw a team/coach it might have gotten a little coverage. Oh wait, maybe the sideline reporters were in on it?!

We noted it here in a thread.
The story never took off at all.
We have had trouble with O'Connell since Calhoun's era. That's kind of like unbelievable.Brian O'Connell sounds familiar. It's never good when you recognize the names of officials.
It wasn’t ncaa tourney. Last year there was a story that refs are sick of Hurley and he has a target in his backThere are a lot of dumb threads on this board.

Totally agree, second half was just a disgrace. Fortunately the outcome was never in doubt, but made the second half absolutely unwatchable. Were there more fouls called than balls bounced in second half? This entire crew should be banned from division 1 bball.Completely lost control of the game on the second half.

I’d like your bookie. Most had the O/U at 150 or more. I got it at 149 and thought I stole. I didn’t see 147 anywhere.The O/U
Agreed. I saw 149.5 all day. Was thinking the same thing. The total? If anyone got Over 147.5, congrats. I only saw 149 to 152 today.
Word. For years now.Brian OConnel is often referred to as “white haired ref” and absolutely hates UConn.
I actually remember this. It was Jeff Goodman bragging on Field of 68 that he was privately told by numerous officials that they “are sick of Dan Hurley” lol.Does anyone have any clue what upstater is talking about?

It definitely calls into question the impartiality of certain refs
Edit: found it

I remember watching this when Goodman said it. If this is what upstater is talking about his memory is way worse than he thinks it is.I remember this article. There's been a lot of talk like this. Doesn't say anything about what upstater is talking about.
This isn't what I was referring to.It wasn’t ncaa tourney. Last year there was a story that refs are sick of Hurley and he has a target in his back
I never heard of that happening, but the Goodman report should have been investigated by the Big East tbh. Especially with gambling implicationsDid they talk about the time that officials were telling sideline reporters during the NCAA tournament that they were out to screw Hurley?
How long ago was this? This isn't what I was referring to.
It was a TV broadcast prior to the game.
