Rumblings/whispers... nothing concrete at all.

Like the historical recruiting area focus if it indeed comes true:

• Primary: Maryland, Illinois, (Chicago), Indiana (Indianapolis) and Virginia
• Secondary: Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, West Virginia and Wisconsin

I hope he does come in as the D-Line coach, he has an amazing track record in producing really good players in that group. It also helps that Army was 4th in the country in Defense according to NCAA and 3rd according to ESPN.

I hope we land Coach Drew Wilson as our Head S&C coach. Would make perfect sense, almost too perfect.

Helped Colorado this year and came from the University of Maryland, where he spent the last five years as the Terrapins' director of strength and conditioning, overseeing all aspects of training and development of the football team, which was coached by Randy Edsall.

Prior to his time at Maryland, he had been at the University of Connecticut for five years (2006-10) with Edsall, working primarily with the Huskies' football program as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. UConn was invited to a bowl each of his last four seasons there.

Discussed a few pages back - seems/speculating he might have been first choice but decided to stay @ CU based on change in job posting... Who is Randy's coaching staff? Jan 12 is coming fast

Should know soon - job posting closed last night.

January 12 is coming soon so I expect most of these job postings to be filled expeditiously.

.-.
Aside from Defensive Coordinator, what other job postings are still posted?

The only job still posted is "Assistant Football Coach (Specialist 2A)" which closed tonight @ 11:59. DC job closed the other day.

I suspect this differs from Richardson's position as Assistant Head Coach?

ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH (Specialist IIA)
University of Connecticut Division of Athletics

The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for multiple full-time Assistant Football Coach positions.

Same thing..positional coaching position....he just has an additional title

Agree... I just grabbed title. DC job closed on the 9th.

But Assistant Football Coach would be considered different from Assistant Head Coach correct?

Yes...but whom ever holds that title is hired as a Assistant (positional coach) first. The Asst Head Coach title is a title given to one assistant on the staff. Hank Hughes held the title under both Edsall and Pasqualoni, Don Patterson held it under Diaco. I'm not sure what the additional duties entail.

Making sure there is a nice hot cup of coffee on his desk every morning, just the way he likes it. They have to grab his luggage from the carousel at the airport, and as all assistants have to, answer his phone calls in a nice voice and relay the message in a timely fashion

Ahh you must be thinking off a NAIA or D-3 school...That used to be the GA's job now it's Director of Football Op's

That may be more true than you think. When Coach Lonergan was fired by George Washington for player abuse, they appointed the 25 or 26 year old assistant Curtis Joseph as head coach. Joseph was a whole 3 seasons being removed from being the GA whose duties included finding out what my son (then announcing the games as a student) wanted from Subway and making sure he got it on the bus ride back.

Been doing my best to be silent on this coaching update thing... but my eyes are starting to go bad between checking twitter feeds and the boneyard on whether or not we've finally named our DC, OL, WR, DB, and Special Teams coaches... I guess the wait continues.....

Something tells me we're getting another Sunday surprise... (hopefully coupled by a Dallas Cowboy victory over GB)

Chris DeBerry, a former #UConn DB who served on Diaco's staff, will be staying on board with Edsall's staff in a yet-to-be determined role.

I had never heard the name. Torrington kid, played at Bowling Green, walked on here under P at the end of his career and then worked for the Diaco staff in the back office -- not as a coach. I would strongly assume this remains a back office job that we will never hear about again.

.-.
btw, still holding out a little hope that Edsall can poach somebody from the Frank Beamer coaching tree for Special Teams....

I'm thinking we hear in the next 6 hours.
On Wednesday we got the Lashlee news.
Thursday - Fenway
Friday night - DC

I read this as BD was staying on board with Edsall's staff in a yet to be determined role....I was terrified.
He certainly could make a good Flava Flav / hype man type position...

Just not here

I wasn't insinuating anything other than what was posted. His current role is Coordinator of Internal Football Logistics and I assume he will work for Ryan Steinberg.

Didn't mean to imply that you were insinuating anything else. I just never had heard of him, and I do know most of the names of our walk ons over the years.
