I was being over dramatic on purpose Mau....this idea that Ridley will eat us alive inside has been floating around this board way too much for my liking. As others have already posted, he did next to nothing a year ago vs us.

I know he may be better with a year of seasoning but I dont get the fear of him. 12 ppg and 10 boards and some posters are waking up in cold sweats over the thought of our frontcourt trying to stop him....I would love to see the paranoia that this board was in prior to playing a true beast like say Harangody and Dejuan Blair......

Everyone just accepted that Blair was going to beast whoever was guarding him inside at the time. Harangody was the type that you just let him get his, and focus on stopping everyone else.

Quite frankly, go look up the definition of backcourt, and then get back to me.

And Leave AB out of it, Damn it!

Honest mistake clearly meant to say front court.

And I think a good 95% of this board would agree that Brimah would foul out of the game guarding him in the first half if he wasn't subbed out immediately.

I say we let Sigourney Weaver have a crack at him first.

Why is everyone so touchy when Brimah's name is mentioned like he has a taboo.
Because, no matter what brilliant new insight the poster thinks they may be bestowing upon the rest of us, we have heard the opinion and have debated it every way possible 4+ times. Brimah debates have ridden the Wonkavator; have gone backwards and forwards and sideways and slantways and front ways and squareways, and even through the roof. You get the picture.

Secondly, the (often irrelevant) post almost without fail derails whatever potentially fruitful discussion was previously occurring, sending the thread on another ride on said Wonkavator of message board topics.

Some of us are just over talking about Brimah and his proficiencies/deficiencies , especially when he won't even be playing until mid-late February.

I'm more concerned with our 3pt shooting, getting to the line and making free throws, and our energy throughout the game especially defensively.

The real answer is what KO says all the time and I agree with: "Hit'em first!"

In keeping with the holiday spirit, a Nutcracker for the first play should do it.

Don't need to worry about him now:

Texas big man Cameron Ridley suffered a fractured left foot during practice yesterday. He will have surgery tomorrow, per school. From Jeff Goodman
So both our centers out .... Should be a good game

Ridley was definitely their most skilled big, but Lammert, Cleare, and Ibeh are all bruisers we'll need to be prepared for.

Wow, an eye for an eye

Now some posters in this thread can actually get some sleep tonight without getting the Ridley cold sweats

Too bad for Ridley it really is. But the answer to the OPs' original question is now easy:

Break his foot
