I'm in the Berkshires at least 2 weeks a year

Wineries, breweries, distilleries, restaurants... I love it up there

Im on the southeastern end in Feeding Hills about 35-40 minutes from the Berkshires. It’s a pretty nice place up there and tends to the NYers in the summer. Good concert venues as well.

Had about 11 inches on the New Milford/Kent line.

There's nothing to prepare for in the places we live other than having a shovel. We go entire winters now with just a dusting here and there. It's not like we like in Tahoe or Quebec.
Really? I thought you lived around Chicago. Don't you get blasted with lake effect snow?

Just shoveled to stay ahead here in SW New Hampshire, I’d say only 4” so far but it is snowing. Glad CT finally got snow!

I bought my Toro snowblower Nov 22 and never even put it together until Friday. Happy that I finally used it, but still hate snow.

I'll do what I normally do on Sunday mornings: stop by Planet Fitness around 930 AM and then Shop Rite right after. The snow will keep away the usual senior citizen crowd, so the gym/market/parking lot experience should be relatively glorious.
And my plan worked like magic.

The usually full parking lot was about 1/3 full today. Gym attendance was mostly normal, but Shop Rite was gloriously empty. More shelf stockers than normal (probably a pivot from the prediction of less shoppers) and while I'm usually a self-checkout guy, I had my pick of a half-dozen regular checkouts.

Knocked out a full week's of groceries in 20 minutes. Thank you snow! We probably got 5 inches in Northern Norwalk before it switched to rain.

I usually wait until the first snow to check the blower and then grab the shovel and say, well, I need the workout anyway.
I started shoveling and said F it. Went to the shed. Poured some gasoline into the tank. Choke. Took about 8 tugs and the Ariens fired up. Driveway and a dog loop. Still snowing though in central CT

I’m about to leave Hoboken heading to Boston. Obviously I can take 95 or save time and take the 84 and the pike.

How’s it looking along either? I figure weather may be less bad along the coast

Probably only 2 or 3 inches down near Danbury. I think it changed overnight to rain and packed it down a bunch. Second round didn't drop much.. just gave a coating to make everything white again.

About 8” of wet snow here in southwestern metro Boston and still snowing. Just finished the driveway and it turned really cold, everything froze very quickly.

Some snow and mostly sleet in eastern PA. Had to drive an hour for my kid’s hockey game yesterday and you’d have thought it was the storm of the century based on how many accidents there were. Thank God for Waze…

Got about a foot here in town today. But that's probably not of much interest here, since I'm 2,185 miles from Storrs.

Lift with your legs while out there shoveling!
