If Westbrook comes to UConn and if she’s eligible next year, I guess we’ll know. For the record, Westbrook averaged 3.6 rbs, which is pretty darn good for a pg on a team with a lot more size than UConn. In addition, I don’t know of another WBB team in the country next season who will start a wing in excess of 6’2”.

Others stats less than knocking anyone over. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to have her don the blue, but field goal and foul shooting percentages aren't going to bowl anyone over. Still, some of that at least has to do with the inept offense and her more than occasional attempt to do too much. Her stats are here: Evina Westbrook Stats - 20 Player Rankings & Regular Season Stats | HERO Sports

Here’s my prediction. If Westbrook transfers to UConn and gets a waiver to play next year, miraculously her shooting %, ast/to ratio and any other stat you can think of will improve dramatically under Geno and his staff vs the numbers she produced in HW’s sorry excuse for an offense at TN.

That would be my supposition too. I see her commit as slim and slimmer by the day after May 7. But the basketball gods enjoy proving me a fool, so ....

Keep in mind that only one of them has proven to be a consistent and significant contributor for UConn in past seasons. I think EA will put up good numbers this season and I'm really hoping we'll see the healthiest BC we've seen so far, but I wouldn't hang my season on what KI, MB, and BC can produce.

So if you're talking about replacing them body for body, I think finding two replacements (we technically already have two with PB and NM, but I think we'll end up with a bigger body before all is said and done) and three fantastic, well-rounded teammates is doable.
One always needs a roster of 10. I would always like to see all of them with the ability to contribute; five Freshmen have very little chance of doing that.

I don't know if, in most years, there are five freshmen anywhere in the country that would really contribute at UConn.

I remain positive re: coming year but have to question some of your points. ONO likely lead the team in fouls per minute. Even with more experience, likely to go up with more playing time. UConn also routinely got outrebounded last year-see the ND semi for why this is important. Not doom and gloom but wouldn't suggest we can match up underneath with current roster.

ONO will be fine. Freshmen posts almost always look lost. Her high school ranking was for her defense and her offense was described as "emerging". I expect a huge sophomore jump. If I'm right UConn's front line will be better than last year defensively.

I read your post earlier, and read it again a moment ago. I had an epiphany the second time. Westbrook finally realized that committing to Tennessee was not in her best interest.

Now with only two years left in her collegiate playing window remaining, she must now choose what coach/program can best help her make up for the two years she lost with Holly, and get her to the place she wants and needs to be by the time her collegiate eligibility is exhausted.

It has been reported that she has narrowed her choices to Oregon and UConn. She must now look and compare the two coaches, their programs and the number of highly skilled players they have produced. Which program will be best for her in the short term and the long run? She can’t afford to swing and miss again. She has to get it right this time.

To all of the knowledgeable and mature minds here in yard, the choice is an easy one. Let’s hope it’s as clear and easy for her also. One choice would be a gamble, the other would be a sure thing. I wish her all the best wherever she decides to go.
She also needs to sort out another factor. Does she want to play close to family and friends. If so, is the pressure of playing where everyone has instant access to you lesser or greater than the pressure of living up to those banners in Storrs' gym. At this time the ball is in her court.

Sabally is more accurately 6’3”, but more to the point, she fills the 4 spot as a forward. Oregon’s 3 (wing) is 6’2” Erin Boley.
I didn’t get a tape measure out, but I’ve seen Satou next to Ruthy Hebard barefoot and Satou is actually slightly taller. Most people have accepted that Ruthy is 6’4”. But as I said I didn’t get the tape measure out.

And when Kelly Graves describes which starters play what positions he lists Boley as the 4 and Satou as the 3 for what it’s worth. It doesn’t much matter since they play a four out offense.

No tape measure here as well, but that's also my take after watching the team line up for the national anthem. Likewise, according to Satou herself, as a freshman she was a 4; this past year she's been a 3--although, as NWHoopFan2 also says, it really doesn't matter very much given the Oregon offense.

I would add that Satou was definitely one of three starters for Oregon that could generate offense off the dribble.

The AAC is a great training ground for the Frosh. The "big girls" will need to keep playing to maintain their edge but AAC offers Frosh the stage to show their stuff. Top players Frosh or Sr will see decent PT.

The talk "commit" seems to infer Geno wants her, does he?

She is listed as 3 stars. te-hina-paopao
On the ranked list there is another player listed at #60, also a 3 star with a 90 rating. It may be that all 3 stars are ranked the same, but only one ends up on the top 60 list.

I’m sure she’s a very good player, but she is not even listed on Hoopgurlz top 60 for 2020.
ESPN dropped her following her second ACL tear before her junior year. Previously ESPN had her ranked as the overall #9 player in the class.

In last weekends AAU tournament for five games she shot 23 of 47 from the three point line.
