If you look closely, FIlipowski starts it by pushing the fan

IMG_2300.jpeg

He not only pushed the kid but he tried to trip him on purpose and that’s how he hurt himself. He threw his leg out on purpose further than a normal step, watch it in slow motion no doubter. His own fault period. He’s a Dick anyway.

Big L for Gonzaga not figuring out how to make this work

This is 100% on the money. The first sentence of that post you echoed the same thought I had in fractions of a second. I think very highly of Mark Few and that Gonzaga basketball program, but seeing how Hunter Sallis has performed this year must bother Zags fans. Those fans are as diehard as any fanbase in the country.

This is a lousy take. The fans are rushing the court from all directions and some moron is running at you while not paying attention to where he was going. My guess is that fan will get banned from attending any WF sporting events, and Wake itself gets whacked a half a million dollars because of the mayhem their event mgmt allowed to happen.

Terrible take. He belongs on the court. The fans don’t. As far as I’m concerned he can body slam them and toss them like rag dolls into the stands and that’s all on them. He should be able to walk off the court without contact by anyone. We can’t make this a Duke thing. Fillipowski is a guy who came back to play college ball. I have real respect for that. These fans rushing the court blindly are like thousands of drunk drivers. A menace. If this is going to occur, it has to wait until players are off.

Terrible take? I’m not saying they’re right but he tried to trip the kid. Like it or not it’s not a take it’s real.

Screw you he got hurt because he tried to trip the kid. If the kid is running into him and he forearms him the kid deserves it. But if you look to add your own policing to an already bad situation by making sure you trip the kid and hurt your foot/ankle then too bad.

Look, I get that we're supposed to hate everything Duke, but if this had happened to Clingan at Creighton, we would rightfully be pissed off at the fan and not blaming the player.

If you get ran up on, your first instinct is to brace yourself, which is exactly what Flipkowski did. But the real issue here is that the WF fans were on the court sprinting at full speed before the final buzzer had even happened. That makes this whole discussion moot, because only one person had the right to be on the court while the game was still happening, and it was not the WF student.

Doubling down on the ignorance, eh? Fine. You do you.

This.

I just watched the end of the DePaul/Georgetown game

Missing an open game winning layup to lose at home to Georgetown is something that only DePaul can do

Watch the replay and slow it down. He tripped him and you’ll become the ignorant one thinking otherwise. But you be you whatever that means lol. I am me and damn proud of it!
Whether he tripped him or not is a not the point. If you are one of say 25 dookies out there on the court (players, coaches, trainers) and 2,500 people are raining down on you with nowhere to go...I don't know about you, but I am doing whatever it takes to get the hell out of there. Do you think Flip was really willing to start fighting with all those fans? By the way, he has the right to be out there, fans do not. Why do you think they arrest the drunk idiots that run out onto baseball diamonds and football fields during games. FWIW, I'm cool with court storming as long as they can get the teams out of there safely first.

Wait a second how many of you can be so wrong about this? The fact is he’s reporting and Scheyer is whining his leg was injured because of the court storming right? Actually he was injured because he tried to trip the kid who was storming the court rather than just getting the hell out of the way. If the kid was going to run into him it’s one thing but he was running in front of him. The injury occurred because he did more than he had to there’s no other take. Again as I said, if the little *head is running into him and he forearm shivered him that’s the fans fault. I’m this case it’s absolutely not. Now should they stop these, sure there’s too much negative activity that can occur. But that kid was not the reason for his leg injury, that’s for sure.

Flip said the kid intentional ran into him. "(It was) intentional for sure."

Cincinnati was actually better than their record as they had 6 B12 losses by an average of 3.7 points.
That's why the axiom "you are what your record says you are" has resonated. Like in this case. Losers find a way to lose.

.-.
Also, kind of good to see Creighton struggle in the Garden. I know some want us to go through them but I just want the banner.

From what little I have seen in the game it looks like Creighton can't buy a 3 point shot.

.-.
Not really surprised. Their championship was earlier in the week and now they can't make a shot.
I said it a few days ago, the home/road disparity in college basketball this year feels unprecedented.

We beat two decent to excellent teams at home by ~25, sandwiched around a road loss by ~20.

The team we lost to are down by double digits on the road. It's ludicrous.
