Minnesota up 8 at the half.

UCLA has turned it around after the tough start, if Tad Boyle misses the tourney with that roster that's a bad look

Are we the only top 10 team that consistently starts a freshman? This is a down year for freshman again. When will these covid lifers finally graduate?
No, Kansas starts either Elmarko Jackson or Johnny Furphy (and sometimes both). UNC starts Elliot Cadeau. Duke starts Jared McCain and Caleb Foster has started a bunch too. Iowa State starts Milan Momcilovic

I’ll be at Fairfield tonight covering the game.

After a two-year recovery, Alexis Yetna is finally back and healthy.

The Stags have yet to have a fully healthy squad all season, so even though they are in 2nd place in the MAAC we haven’t even seen what their ceiling can be.

If you’re nearby and haven’t seen Fairfield’s new arena, it’s super impressive! They also have a ticket deal for Sunday’s game.

Furphy is a pretty crazy story. Didn't start earlier on. Was a 4 star from Australia. The put him in the lineup because they had no shooting (partly because Timberlake was terrible) and now he's a projected 1st round pick in some mock drafts.

Alexis Yetna? Damn that guy has been in school forever. Well good for him, I am glad he is healthy.

Same guy, he's been in college since 2017 (although it was a redshirt year)
Yep. Same guy. Yetna's been off the bench his first two games, so it's uncertain whether he'll start for them eventually.

Fairfield is a dangerous team because their strength is their backcourt (four guards, including former Cuse/Georgetown guard Brycen Goodine, averaged 26 mpg+ and averaged double-digit points-per-game) and their frontcourt was in shambles with Yetna and New Mexico transfer Birima Seck injured at the start of the year, forcing freshman Peyton Smith to every game this season before coming down with an injury.

Smith filled in admirably (solid defender, good passer and averages 8.3p, 4.6r, 0.9b in 23.7 mpg) and Seck returned in December and now Yetna is back.

They've yet to have a game with all their top rotation guys healthy, but this team can win in a variety of ways and veteran interim head coach Chris Casey has been excellent leading the Stags in how they can win in a variety of ways.

Cheese and rice.

Nova-28
Gtown- 19

At the half. WTF? Gtown and DePaul are historically bad teams.

Both teams were shooting so atrociously in the 1H, was an easy live over bet at halftime. Nova covers easily, should help their metrics. Not dead for a bid yet. Huge game at home against Butler on Tuesday.

Would be a bad week for Butler if they can't stage a comeback, Marquette and Creighton back to back at home, they had to get at least one of em and their defense has been atrocious. Hell, if the refs didn't swallow their whistles on 2 dunk attempts by Providence they would be in line for 3 Ls in a row at home.

The middle of our league just is not good. Butler really did not put up a fight in the second half. They played us tough both games. But looking at them today they are not a tournament team. Villanova and Seton Hall are the only two left with a chance.

Yeah, after the top few schools, the next half dozen look like they'd only be six to eight points better than Cincinnati. That's embarrassing for the conference.
