Uh oh, @azfan is gonna be facing that age old dilemma, when you want a coach gone but they suddenly start winning games, what do you do?
A 9 point victory over Houston..... I'm guessing the three-game win streak ends next week. The problem with making a program truly awful then "elevating " it to consistently mediocre with a coach and an indifferent administration makes for a long long-term pain.

That said all four Arizona women's basketball programs did win on the road yesterday! I'm guessing that will not happen again this season.

UNLV and Boise St. in a rock fight. The Fighting Lindys up 53-52 w/ about 3 minutes left.

edit--UNLV wins 61-57; I think they are down a bit from the previous several years, but not sure if anyone is gonna knock them off their perch at the top of the Mountain West
They lost their best player Desi-Rae Young who graduated last year. She had been the MTN's POY for the last 3 years.

And

Nneka Obiazor and Alyssa Fresco-Durazo (started 32 0f 33 for Lindy) transferred to Grand Canyon. Alyssa is a three point specialist who nailed 9 in a game last year for the Lopes. Obiazor loves, I mean loves offense, defense not so much. The two combined for 16 points a game last year for the Rebs. I think the loss of Fresco-Durazo really hurt the Rebs.

VA Tech beat Miami on the road. Canes fell to 1-3 in the ACC. They were tough to get a read on in OOC, but not a good start in conference.

Looks like they lost 4 of their top 6 scorers from last season. They did return #2 and #3, and added a nice player from the transfer portal in Aaliyah Alexander (Eastern Washington).

Kentucky lighting up Vandy in first quarter, 31-17. Wildcats shot 75 percent from the field, 67 percent (6 of 9) from three.

Long delay to start of second half of Duquesne-Fordham due to a medical emergency in the building. I don't think I've ever seen that during a live broadcast before. Hope the person is okay.

Kentucky up 51-38 at the half. Vandy missed some chances to cut it to 10 after trailing by 20 at one time. Man, they're big and, unfortunately, very skilled. Shooting 58 percent from the field and 8 of 15 from three.

Vandy cut it to five midway through fourth but have picked up six fouls to Kentucky's one, including three on Mikayla Blakes who was leading the comeback. Lead now back to nine.

Is Hannah Kohn from Clemson a switched at birth Cavinder sibling? Looks like she could be. Although the name Hanna is already taken in the Cavinder clan.

Stanford had a 4 point lead well into OT and gonna totally blow it. When have they ever started 0-3 in conference?

edit--Clemson ended the game on a 8-0 run to win 65-61

What? Fordham-Duquesne was headed to OT...then it wasn't. Fordham by 2 in regulation. Wasted a 26 pt/8 reb/9 steal performance by McConnell. Dukes are 0-3 in A-10.

I forgot about them, thanks for reminding me.

Wow, Kentucky wins 96-78 @ Vandy. Not sure if this tells us more about the Cats or the Dores.

Kentucky dominated Vandy in just about every phase of the game, and Georgia Amoore just took over in the fourth period. Wildcats win 96-78. I picked them by eight or so but was surprised at the ease with which they handled the Commodores.

So...Ole Miss decided not to play the 4th quarter? Had a comfortable lead against A&M until the final frame, getting outscored 19-6 and on the verge of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Another 4th quarter meltdown, Illinois gets outscored 28-13 by Minnesota. Gophers win 68-61. Illini have talent but 1-3 start in conference play not good. Gophers 3-1.

Ole Miss tagged w/ a bad loss 60-58 vs. A&M.

Good comeback for Tennessee. Let’s see if they can go all the way.

They came up short. I am interested to see how they look against good teams that don’t have turnover issues.

Also, Puckett doesn’t deserve grief for missing the game winner. She has made big shots before.

Close but not quite for the Vols. Forced 31 TOs...and still lost. 2-7 FT shooting is killer.

.-.
Quite a game. Tennessee just needs to more consistent for the whole game.

I was just fixin to say, I’m pretty sure the debate was mic-dropped by the true USF when they shellacked Duke last month.

They need to be a threat in the half court. Oklahoma actually kind of suits them. Because Oklahoma wants to run and shuffle players in and out of the lineup. And Oklahoma turns the ball over a lot. What’s going to happen when they play teams that don’t turn the ball over?
