Weird game in Bozeman. Montana St. was in control against Eastern Washington, then a disastrous 27-13 3rd quarter. 4th quarter flipped the other way w/ MSU outscoring the Eags 25-9 nearing the end of the game, Cats up 14 now.

It's early, but we could have an interesting battle developing between Quinnipiac and Fairfield for MAAC supremacy.

Soooooo

Headed into the much-anticipated ASU-Houston game the AZ schools are 3-0 on the road.

The kitties have no problem in the Sunshine state against a UCF team that really will challenge Houston and ASU. Skyler Jones had 17 points on 5 shots. In other good kittie news Cummingham didn't foul out as Barnes shows that strong coaching against the Kim Mulkey part of the schedule.

The Lopes are dominate against a Southern Utah team that is struggling. Grand Canyon had 20 steals, 8 threes, 12 offensive rebounds in running their streak to 12 wins.

The Jacks lite up Weber State for 92 and, check this for efficiency, Leia Beattie had 17 points on 6 shots.

Tasha Adair welcomes the pressure to represent against the Cougars and I am certain she has emphasized to her squad to NOT look ahead to February 12 and the contest against UCF.

Butler and Marquette going down to the wire. Bulldogs trying to get their first conference win.
Marquette gets the win 57-54 scoring 4 points over the last 30 seconds. Either Marquette was looking past the Bulldogs with Creighton as their next game or Butler is better than most people thought they would be, they did give the Bluejays a run for their money on New Years Day.

The West Coast USF continues rolling along in the WCC at 5-0. Nothing in their 3-6 OOC schedule gave reason to think they would be leading their conference.

Maybe Gonzaga is finding their footing? Nearly blew a big lead against Portland but held on Thursday night. Blowing the doors off Santa Clara today. Ejim was on the verge of hitting 2000 career points earlier in the game, I'm assuming she got there.

Okay now, it's getting pretty rough in here. @triaddukefan is the arbiter of when record books get thrown out, and is probably the only poster who could give a somewhat accurate ranking of 20 or so schools from the State of North Carolina, so I highly value his opinion

I think BYU is gonna have a long year in the Big 12. Fell to 0-3. Led at the half but couldn't hang with West Virginia in the 2nd half.

Huh. Wisconsin was giving people some reason for optimism in 00c, but getting thumped by Oregon today which would drop them to 1-3 in conference.
Man, I keep hoping and wishing that Coach Moseley can turn that Wisconsin program into a mini powerhouse. She is a decent coach. Wisconsin just needs a few solid recruiting runs.

Oh yes, please dear lord, let SMU relocate far away from Texas, and take the rest of Dallas with it :p
Is Fort Worth safe or are you jettisoning them too?

You know...I think Jerry Jones is a deal killer, nobody wants him in their state.

Uh oh, @azfan is gonna be facing that age old dilemma, when you want a coach gone but they suddenly start winning games, what do you do?

Fort Worth is a bona fide Texas town, they stay.

Oak Cliff is a great neighborhood and is also exempted from the Dallas banishment.

What about Denton?
Denton is fine, it was historically a totally separate town and seat of Denton County.

But Trophy Club (yes that's a place) must go.

I think I see something good brewing here. @Plebe can give us a ruling on every city, neighborhood, borough, or whatever else they have in Texas whether they can stay or have to go.

Hapless Houston led by the lawfirm of Hughey, Dewey & Louie continues its ignominious season.

And did I hear Adair and Skinner correctly in the postgame? They're getting ready for March Madness? Do they know that's not the actual name of a psych hospital?

UNLV and Boise St. in a rock fight. The Fighting Lindys up 53-52 w/ about 3 minutes left.

edit--UNLV wins 61-57; I think they are down a bit from the previous several years, but not sure if anyone is gonna knock them off their perch at the top of the Mountain West

Marquette was picked to finish 10th in the Big East. They're going to do better than that, but they're still not a good team.

Butler is much improved from their doormat days (and they even have a win over Indiana) but I believe their top scorer is out injured.

Is Cincinnati good? They've been fairly pesky against TCU.

I keep telling everybody you have to guard Madison Conner out at the 3 point arc, but nobody is listening to me. 6-9 from deep, 26 points today. Quiet day for Van Lith. Hayes from Cincy has pretty much battled Prince to a standstill.

Colorado State has creighton’s best player now and they seem to be pretty dangerous in the mountain west.
