You’re welcome ! :)

It's a great day for Arizona women's basketball as all four teams play road games this afternoon on ESPN Plus.

The action starts with the kitties on the road in what may be a trap game for the inconsistent and flawed coaching of Adia Barnes at UCF. That's a noon game and the warm up for the three really interesting games that will follow.

At 2:00 p.m. both Grand Canyon and NAU tip with games that they should win. Molly Miller's squad attempts to extend their winning streak to 12 games against Southern Utah. Loree Payne will be hoping her team learned their lesson against Idaho as they take on Weber State.

The real excitement however for Big 12 fans starts at 5:00 p.m. in the battle for the basement as the Sun Devils take their two-game winning streak into Houston. Inquiring minds want to know if this will reflect Natasha Adair's push for Coach of the Year. Rumor has it she's seeking a contract extension in the wake of her recent success.

What's the over under that all four Arizona squads prevail on the road?

Who is at more risk of the upset the talented but uncoachable kitties or the Red Hot Sun Devils?

If I had to guess I have a fear that the lack of attention to defense will doom the Jacks allowing Weber State the big upset.

In any event of glorious afternoon and early evening watching Arizona women's basketball.

Truly an epic showdown today at the Fertitta Center. Not only are the Fighting Natashas of Tempe on an all-time confidence high, but let's not forget the massive scare that the Courageous Coogs of UH put into Big 12 favorite Kansas State a few days ago. In what might have been the greatest upset in college sports history, Houston somehow held a commanding one-point lead early in 4Q before melting into a puddle and losing by 20.

So today's battle calls to mind a saying about an unstoppable force and an immovable object. Rumor has it that at least one spectator, who may or may not be unhoused, is already lined up at the Fertitta Center.

I've never been so motivated to watch what's typically classified as a "sicko" game. Thanks @Plebe for this resounding pre-game summary. ;)

UCLA....OMG!! Lauren Betts was out there feasting on Indiana. Not Kiki's best shooting game but she dang near put up a triple double out.

.-.
How about the Pac 12 castoffs battling today in Pullman? Both at 3-1 in the WCC and trying to stay right on the heels of league leading USF.

Look out, Chicago St. actually has a chance to win today. Tied w/ about 2 minutes left.

One of the Pac 12 castoffs was ready for the game today. And it wasn't the one from Corvallis.

.-.
Chicago St. going OT. Hope they can pull it off and finally get a W.

A couple guards from smaller schools I've gotten to see a few times this year that are a real joy to watch--Dinnebier at Drake and McConnell at Duquesne.

Texas Tech played K State even for 3 quarters...unfortunately they got outscored 28-9 in Q3.

Chicago St. has this! Up 6 w/ 30 seconds left. I thought the unthinkable might happen and Chicago St. and North Carolina Central were gonna win on the same day, but NCCU is on the wrong end of the scoreboard w/ 1 second left.

.-.
Interesting game brewing in Stillwater. Rough first half for Okie St. but they grabbed the lead just before halftime. Seemed to have momentum in Q3, built up the lead to 8 or so, but then Kansas came storming back. Jayhawks up 1 going into Q4.

Dinnebier w/ her 5th game of 30 or more this season. Drake hammering Valpo.

Huh. Wisconsin was giving people some reason for optimism in 00c, but getting thumped by Oregon today which would drop them to 1-3 in conference.

I have seen enough from Seton Hall. They are one of the best teams in the big east this year.
The only good team that they've played so far in the Big East is Villanova who gave the game away at the end. Their Nova win is the highest rated Massey win they have so far #62. They now have to prove themselves against Creighton #29, @Marquette #59 and @Uconn #5. They have only two wins against teams in the Massey Top 100, they are Cincinnati #83 and Nova, while 10 of their wins are against teams rated between #105 Georgetown to #358 La Moyne.

In fairness, this was a problematic match up for the Badgers from the jump. Oregon is one of a few teams that has the size to keep Williams in check.

She's had 3 shot attempts by the 3rd quarter. She typically averages 19 and has 5 points last I checksd. That doesn't happen often and is the key difference in this game.

Washington St. beat Oregon St. 66-52. Beavs never really challenged after falling behind by 13 in Q1. Cougs mostly let them hang around, but it was never in doubt. Just a terrible shooting performance by OSU. 28% overall and 11% from 3.

Looks like Kansas is going to win against OK St, leading by 11, 73-62 with less than 30 seconds left.

Oklahoma St. gonna lose at home today to Kansas. Seems like a fairly bad loss to me. KU was 0-2 in conference coming into this game. OSU was 2-0. Really can't afford this if they want to stay near the league leaders.

Right, but blown out by Indiana and lost at home to Minnesota. Looking at the schedule, could lose every game from now until @ Purdue...in February. Have Maryland, Ohio St. and Michigan at home and Washington, Nebraska and Minnesota on the road. Don't think they'll be favored in any of those.

The conference schedule is a gauntlet. No argument there. Compared to when Tsipis was there, the team is making progress. Remember, it was only a few years ago where Wisconsin couldn't crack double digits in the Win column.

Is there still room for improvement? Hell yes. Seeing how they haven't been able to build around Williams better has been a big disappointment to me.
