syracuse vs. st. john's should be a fun one, too! go johnnies!!
Any game involving Syracuse isn't "fun", but yes, I hope the Johnnies win by 30.
Think I might go to that Vermont/Yale game as well! Looking forward to it.
That's great! It'll be my first time there...a review of the gym and the game will be written on the blog, I could share it on this thread tomorrow! I'm excited to see Matt Knowling for the first time...at 6'6 205 and now starting to show an outside shot, I don't see a UVM player who matches up well against him on defense.

Also, excited to see UVM's freshman Perry Smith Jr. live. He's their highest ranked recruit of all-time and on a personal note, was the first player who let me interview him on the blog, so I got that personal bias going.

Hoping to see Soriano just abuse Edwards on the boards.
In an alternative universe, I would have loved to see Joel Soriano in a UConn uniform.

He's limited offensively, but he's a freakin' mountain of a low-post player with toughness and good rim-protection.

Obviously, Sanogo is a better player and I'm more than happy to simply root for Soriano whenever the Johnnies play OOCs or Big East teams I don't care for.

Nice! It's a really fun place to see a game. Such a weird gym. I go there a couple times every season.

I think me and @elmcityboy are gonna be at the game together tonight, so if you see two tall-ish 30 year old white guys wearing UConn gear who look like they might be twin brothers come say what's up!

Finished up my meetings at work today just in time to watch Texas Tech go on a run to end the first half. Up 32-13

Louisville is at risk of dropping to 0-5..

They still have only 13 points with 15 minutes left in the entire game. Score is 44-13. Wow.

Louisville fighting to make it to 40 with a late run… and it’s gonna come up short. Tech wins 70-38. You hate to see it. But more than that, you love to see it

I'm baffled at how god-awful Louisville is. I know they've had some coaching changes but they don't look even close to competing as a D-1 bball team this year.

Did I miss something? How did they get so bad?? 0-5 to start the year???

No guards outside of El Ellis.

Master P's son Hercy Miller (walk-on) is their only other true guard while 6'5 215 Mike James is the team's starting 2 and backup PG whenever Ellis is off the court.

I mean, look at these lineup charts:

That combo makes for a whopping 26.2 turnover %, good for 11th highest in the nation...the nation!

It's utterly stupid that Payne did not add any guards via the portal.

Here's a sick angle of Batcho's block from today:

This is why I think Syracuse will have a better record this season than many think. They suck but they don't suck nearly as much as some other teams in the ACC and they're great compared to Louisville.

Hate it for the kids wearing the jerseys. Absolutely love it for everyone else involved.

I think they warmed up for the season by losing to a D2 team in an exhibition game.

Yale had quite a second half. Between UConn, Q and Yale, it’s been a great start for Connecticut schools.

vermont couldn't guard matt knowling in the post. it was pretty clear in the first half, and then james jones just spammed knowling post touches to start the second. he made the right read every time and yale ran away with it. damn good team defensive effort, too.

would love to see knowling in a uconn uniform if andre leaves next year, haha...

Syracuse St John's in Brooklyn is just weird. Are the Rangers playing Tonite?

No matter how bad we’ve shot in the past, idk if I ever seen a worse shooting team than the Johnnies.

Oddly enough, they’re exciting as _____

Johnnies make so many bonehead plays, but they are athletic, strong, and relentless… and our guys better be wearing their big boy pants when we face them.
