As others here have said, UNC is overrated. It happens every year to the team that makes an unexpected run in the tourney the previous season - they get some inflated hype at the beginning of the next season. UCLA previously. They’re (probably) a top-15 team. But clear-cut number one? Heck no. If we make the PKI final, I want them.

Those are the teams cuse will feast on, + 1 or 2 upsets against the top half of acc and they'll sneak in as an 11 seed again. Or one of those teams will feast on the other 4 +cuse and get an upset or two and sneak in.

99%+ of college basketball fans today are rooting for Xavier.

Plus, very good tests for Seton Hall, DePaul and Butler.

Specifically for Butler, I loved their pickup of Manny Bates (I hated Bryce Golden, especially his inability to defend). Bates is an elite defender and a more than adequate low-post big (12.7p, 7.0r, 2.8b). Good to see him healthy and playing well.
 
Purdue v Gonzaga will be a battle of the big men tonight. Edey v Timme. Unfortunately - a midnight tipoff....

Playing his old team. NC State's guards really surprised me. Gonna be tough for Butler.

That long one was the dagger that UNC collapsed from there. Gave up 10 or 12 straight down the stretch.

Like Creighton, UNC needs to develop their bench. Is Dontrez Styles injured?

Our clown schedule just took a huge hit. We need to beat Alabama tonight. AD Dave and Hurley can’t schedule this poorly again.

Alabama is Kenpom #11, UNC is #18.
Iowa St was #54 before tonight.

Don’t worry, it’s fine, Iowa St will be ranked 23rd on Monday if we beat them, everything is peachy!
 
North Carolina falls to a respectable 21st, with obviously the upside to climb back up in the rankings. Iowa State is at 42, and if we beat them after beating bama, will probably struggle to be quad 1 in a loaded B12. We need to beat Alabama now.

At least if we lose tonight, our opponent would actually be better for our SOS.

You watched that game today and walked away thinking UNC was that much better? They’ll end up in the same Kenpom ballpark

I at least respect you for defending your take, but no I expect UNC to be much better. People won’t be disliking these posts on selection Sunday, when our terrible schedule puts us down a seed or two.
 
Kansas losing badly. Same problem that lead to OT yesterday, Wilson playing hero ball. For a team that usually plays beautiful offense, it’s been ugly. We‘ve seen that in past UConn teams, shots don’t fall, one guy goes 1 vs 3 and you don’t score.

I don’t think an undefeated UConn will have to worry about its seed. Win them all. Starting tonight.
 
I got tricked into taking Kansas when I saw the spread earlier. Losing side of a sucker bet
