Princeton leading Columbia 30-29 at the half. One thing that stuck out to me was the number of bunnies missed by both teams.
Also, it is Senior Day for Columbia.

Been switching around between several games. Okie St. at Oklahoma is entertaining. Basketball is more fun to watch when players are hitting shots.

In the 3rd quarter, Abbey Hsu of Columbia crossed the 2000 point threshold to become the 3rd All Time Ivy League points leader. She looks like a pretty good player.

At the end of the 3rd quarter, Columbia leads 53-45. Except for some FTs, the Tigers went cold the last few minutes of the quarter.

Had a blast watching her ever since she arrived on campus and has overcome a lot in her life. Yahoo did good story on her recently.

At the 4th quarter media timeout (3:48 remaining), Columbia leads 66-61, after having a double digit lead most of the quarter.

No nights off in the Ivy League!

Ivy could get 2 teams in.

Oof, Sooners vs. Cowboys has gotten painful in 2nd half. OSU has no depth, they are exhausted and all their shots are short. OU running away with it.

The Lions had lost 28 of 29 against Princeton prior to today. Wow.
And the one win was last year. Columbia got upset last year in conference semis so hopefully these two meet again in few weeks. Following via live stats. Which is always tense! Waiting to see as the clock goes from like 8 to 2 to see what the next item on the play-by-play chart is going to show. Happy for Columbia. Meg Griffith (who was assistant at Princeton) has done an incredible job there since taking over her alma mater. Stark difference to the men's program which won 25 in 2016 under coach Kyle Smith (now kicking butt at Washington State) and has been in freefall since. Men are little better this year but the women's games have ton more energy at home and usually much better crowds.

West Virginia was done 8 moments ago, just grabbed the lead. Less than a minute left. They've been turning Baylor over just about every possession down the stretch.

Very interesting call (IMO) with just under 2 minutes left. Another scrum with a Princeton player getting clear possession while on the floor. Whistle by the ref that is less than a foot away. The Tiger player's shoulder is on the end line. The player is shocked. A quick replay shows that the player is inches away from the line AND her shoulder hadn't touched the court!!!! Columbia ball. The announcers thought that the refs were going to review the play, but it
didn't happen. WOW.
I have always said that refs call what they think happened and not what they actually saw.

This about the worst finish to a game ever. WVU shot clock violation. Baylor throws the ball out of bounds. Then WVU coughs it up on the inbounds, Baylor misses the layup but gets fouled. WVU up 1 w/ 4.3 seconds left. Quinerly just fouled out after a career high 33.

Baylor wins. The shooter got injured and had to be replaced for the FTs. Van Gytenbeek hit both. WVU had no TO, so had to go length of the floor. Final shot got swatted. Mountaineers definitely stole a victory from themselves, totally muffed an inbounds play when they were up 1 w/ about 8 seconds left, Baylor would've had to foul.

It seems like it's been UNLV, Wyoming and New Mexico and nobody else in the Mountain West. But quietly Boise St. has crept into the mix. Wyoming and New Mexico are squaring off right now, Boise St. is about to win, so the Broncos will be in a 2 way tie for 2nd after today instead of a 3 way tie.

Seattle U. about to get their 4th conference win. I guess they aren't quite as bad as I thought. The Huskies and Redhawks win on back to back days, that hasn't happened much this season.

Davidson had to forfeit another game due to "non-covid health and safety protocols."

Meanwhile, George Mason just won in overtime over Richmond, which leaves the A-10 with 5 teams clustered at the top of the standings within one game of each other.

Some people honestly thought that UT-Chatt was gonna run through the SoCon undefeated this season. You wanna know who didn't think that? My Spartans of UNC-Greensboro trailed 46-37 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Spartans never give up and they outscored the Mocs 31-18 in the 4th to come up with the huge upset 68-64.

The real Spartans reside in Greensboro, not East Lansing.
