Week 12 - Jan 22 to 28

Hold on, there are people who think South Carolina vs LSU will be a blow out tomorrow night?

Who would've guessed the battle of the cellar dwellers in the Big East, Xavier and Butler both coming in at 0-7, would turn into a 30 point beat down? X going out of their way to prove they are the worst team in the conference. Of course overall records are quite different, Butler has 8 wins and Xavier only 1.

What’s going on with Texas? I see a lot of players not suited up.

I watched the Cincy/Oklahoma St. game on and off tonight. The score was stuck at 56-56 for like the last 2 minutes ... Cincy won with 2 seconds left after a steal and score. OK St. was looking for a foul on their last shot but the refs clearly weren't interested. Big win for Cincy and a big loss for OK St. -- they could have moved up to the #2 spot in the Big 12 with a win.

Okay, Chicago St. has worst team in D1 locked down, who's next worse? Without looking at everybody's records, 1 win teams Xavier and Seattle U. have to be in the conversation.

Two games in OT right now: Villanova/Providence and Maryland/Michigan.

Maryland has a chance to jump Michigan in the Big Ten rankings with a win.

Xavier is awful but there are many dozens of teams below them in both NET and Massey. Seattle is worse than Xavier but not in the bottom 10.

Chicago State is last in Massey, but in NET they are ahead of Stonehill, McNeese and Alabama State.

I guess I have a hard time differentiating between different degrees of awful.

Kansas beat Iowa St. by 2. Big 12 is looking kinda wacky. Texas and Baylor fading. Kansas St. and Oklahoma are 1 and 2 in the standings at this point.

Crooks had 25, 10 for Brown, 2 starters were scoreless for the Cyclones.

Not entirely surprised. Xavier is terrible. Butler seemed decent against UConn -- was surprised to see them winless in conference.
