Before the AP poll is released and trickles down to ESPN ranking page and then the schedule, here's a little tease of hoops today, showing last week's rankings. The Ivy League is still a bit bunched at the top, so maybe today things will spread out a bit. Tuesday though Sunday games will be posted after everything updates.

Yeah. Vandy wanted it more, especially in that 1st half. Michigan just played flat in that first half but then got it going in the second half. Buit definitely, great game by Vandy. Coach Ralph doing great things at Vandy.

And in both games, Michigan had the opportunity for a game tying 3 point shot. Today Swords missed her shot, in ours, I think KK stole the ball from her with a second or two left in the game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I read somewhere that Naz Hillmon's mother played at Vanderbilt when she was in college. This game must have been an interesting one from a bragging rights perspective.

I keep thinking Washington won't get ranked again, and then they sneak in there and prove me wrong. Hopefully they will avoid stubbing their toe this time w/ next 2 games against Rutgers and Penn St.

Allow me to get ahead of myself a bit. I see Fairfield and Quinnipiac both won today to improve to 9-0 in the MAAC. Had me wondering when they will meet. We have to wait until Jan. 29th when Fairfield will host the big showdown. And then the return game 2/14.

While the game ended up being a nail biter, I wasn’t that impressed with Vandy. They almost gave the game away in the 4th, however Michigan failed to capitalize on it.

Blakes is a great player, but she had some out of control plays. I haven’t seen many of their games, does the assistant coach usually draw up the plays in the huddle?
