Week 11 - Jan 15 to 21

The triumphant return of Ashley Owusu continues.

17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a block in 27 minutes off the bench as Penn State coasted to a comfortable win over Purdue.

Next up is Pitt, then ND-VT-Lou!
Yeah and 3 of Syracuse's 5 wins are over Clemson, Wake Forest and Boston College ... to go with their upset wins at home over ND and FSU

I think @Plebe forgot that with Syracuse also taking down FSU, “there are no nights off on the ACC”, now if only @triaddukefan can get his team to step up tonight
Virginia Tech was up 13-3 and I turned the game off and popped in a "Hazel" DVD to cheer myself up after NC State's loss. Now, Duke is up 15 in the 4th quarter. What in the world happened?

Was wondering the same. Did @triaddukefan convince VT to pack it in after Q1? It was 18-7 after 10 minutes. ALL Duke since then.

Duke up 14 with 5 to go. This is either going to be a very very good night for Triad ... (Or a very very bad night. )

Duke started to come back, and then Amoore went out with a concussion most likely and that completely deflated VT

This season is really turning into a battle of attrition. Anyone getting thru the year with their stars and/or most of their roster intact will have a big advantage in the post season.

Purdue has really disappointed this year. I like Gearlds as coach but after making the NCAAT last year they’re not even on the bubble right now.

This is true and so unfortunate. Almost every top team has lost at least one starter for the season or significant amount of time. UCLA, NC State, UConn, LSU, Utah, Texas, Notre Dame, UNC and I’m sure I’m forgetting some. Hopefully Georgia Amoore will be back quickly.

Santa Clara up 68-17 on Pepperdine!
Did SCU get confused and think they were playing Oregon again?

There aren't even words to describe how embarrassing that is for Pepperdine.

Some interesting ACC matchups today that will either spread out the teams in the standings, or keep them all in close.

23 North Carolina (4-1) @ Georgia Tech (3-2)
15 Florida State (5-1) @ Syracuse (4-1)
14 Virginia Tech (4-1) @ Duke (3-2)
Another potential mosh pit of ACC games on Sunday:
Duke @ 4 NC State
Clemson @ 14 Virginia Tech
13 Louisville @ 23 North Carolina
Virginia @ 15 Florida State

ESPN Gamecast showed VA within 8 on ND and then the Irish pulled away. FSU might have a bit of revenge on their minds after the loss to Syracuse. Let's see if Duke can keep it up. VA Tech vs Clemson? Well, VA Tech was averaging 80 PPG before yesterday's loss.
